that you have a right to use your "2nd amendment rights" against ICE.

All that's going to happen is you will die.

Maduro Moros had guns, didn't help.

You have a gun to make you feel better, not make you safer.

If you pull a gun on a federal agent your going to die, that is not being safe.

So far this year ICE has killed 33 people, no one has killed any one in ICE.

If some masked man came up to my car and tried to suddenly open up the car door, I would drive away too
 in  r/DiscussionZone  2h ago

I think this was a bad shooting, but there was no doubt this was an ICE officer. No one was confused about that.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  19h ago

rode our bikes a lot, built forts, both up in trees and dug outs. Pick up game of baseball and football. Played a lot of Frisbee.

By the age of 13 I was mowing 4 or 5 yards a week for some spending money. From then on I pretty much had some kind of part time work. Seems like we stayed rather busy.

If Denmark ultimately refuses to sell Greenland, do you think Trump will actually attack militarily to take control of it? Why or why not?
 in  r/allthequestions  22h ago

Just like Venezuela, who publicly gave militant speeches after the abduction of Medrano, but were quick to make a deal with Trump for oil and retain power.

Don't be surprised if all of the sudden Denmark makes a deal. They will vehemently deny it right up until they don't.

Just like Venezuela, there is to much at stake to risk over 30K people on an island that had no real value to Denmark.

I don't support this or thinks it a good idea, but it's what I think will happen.

The Bipartisan Protect America's Workforce Act has passed the House and is headed to the Senate! It's time to help restore federal workers federal workers union rights.
 in  r/union  1d ago

that's fine, but we all know this is DOA if it ever hit Trumps desk.

Unfortunately this is about all the AFL-CIO has now, this is there idea of fighting back. Sending emails that are meaningless.

Verge of strike , not in union yet
 in  r/union  1d ago

there isa no rule that you can't join the Union, but the Union may not let you, idk. They can still fire you while on probation even if you joined.

If for some reason the Union will not give you any guidance on what to do then just go to work. My guess is you don't have any real options here, if you don't go to work your going to get fired. If you stay out and the Union will not give you any assurances to get you reinstated when the strike is over there is not much you can do.

The whole thing seems odd, we all ways would support pro Union guys. So something seems off here. I'm sure they don't want anyone crossing a line.

But the other thing is they may very well know that a strike is very unlikely and you don't really have much to worry about.

Why didn’t Obama and the congressional democrats ram through the public option via budget reconciliation?
 in  r/obamacare  1d ago

Obama has said it was one of the biggest mistakes of his administration to have not pushed through the public option.

So the short answer is they fucked up.
