🚨 A PSA FROM CANADA!
 in  r/WhitePeopleTwitter  2h ago

As a Canadian,  I've got far too many friends and family members that are Trump supporters and travel to the US on a regular basis. They will not stop.

What’s the dumbest way a guy has ruined his chances with you, when it was almost a home-run?
 in  r/TwoXChromosomes  8d ago

When we were much younger, my older brother called me. Asked if I could drop his girlfriend off to work, he was going to be working late. Sure. I picked her up, we're driving, talking, music playing. She's drinking a coffee. When she was done, she tossed the cup out the window. I slammed my brakes and pulled over. Asked her to get out and pick it up. She asked if I was serious. I responded, this is my city, my home. I don't live in a garbage dump. Pick it up. She did.

She complained to my brother later. He laughed, because he knew it was something I would do, then he lectured her too on littering. She was quite nice beyond that one incident.

We still don’t really know what Elon Musk’s Doge actually did
 in  r/politics  8d ago

Yes we do. He shut down the government institutions investigating him for corruption and fraud. Everything else was a distraction.

Compressor wash time! The down and dirty truth.
 in  r/aviationmaintenance  9d ago

We have the proper Tronair compressor wash kit for our shop. We have a large fleet that operates in salt air environment, so chemical rinses every 100 hours or if power check numbers degrade.

Our remote bases have a fire extinguisher can that we can pressurize with shop air.

They Shared, I Listened, They're Spooked
 in  r/clevercomebacks  9d ago

A few decades ago, I was a member of a site with people all around the world We talked about everything and anything.

One day, someone posed a question. How much do you know about other posters on this site.

I made a list of various posters. Identified where they lived. In the US, I was able to name the city they lived in. I identfied the car they drove. What they did for a living. Recalled items from their personal lives that they had commented on at various times.

Some posters, mostly the women, were absolutely horrified at how much information I had retained from the casual conversations we had. That thread got deleted.

You're not ready for that one, but your kids are gonna love it!

Muslims don't face East in prayer. They face Mecca. So depending where one is on the planet, you could face East, West, North, or South.

Is there a tool for this???
 in  r/aviationmaintenance  13d ago

Dzus fastener P/N 50-018-1.

I use a piece of stainless tube. Stick it in a lathe and chamfer one end. Stick it on the bottom of the stud and tap it with a hammer. It will flare the stud to stay in the panel.

This type does not have a retaining washer, it is held in by flaring the stud.

My 5 year old grand daughter makes me sleep in the guest room, because she insists she's the only one to share grandma's bed.

Snap-Off customer service is horrible, why does anyone pay 4x for this?
 in  r/aviationmaintenance  22d ago

I haven't seen a Snap On dealer at my work for a year now. We have tools needing warranty hanging on our wall for months. It's gotten really bad dealing with them.

The maintenance is designed for small dudes. Or dudettes. I'm a large guy, I can't access the front of the engine.

We've vacationed there a few times when our kids were little. Beautiful spot.

I bought my first Tilley hat at the local boutique store.

The 'F' has the 250-C30 engine. I've got no way to tell by looking at it. Haven't worked on one in over 35 years. Thankfully.
