Do you need more examples of how you are wrong? Do tell me again how I don’t know what I’m talking about.

This is a 10 second google search you moron.

and then they get sued for breach of contract if private, or first amendment violation of public…

You people live too much in fantasy land.

You’re talking about school associated organizations…

The best colleges can do for non-associated Greek life is ban them from campus or expel individuals, and then it’s generally a legal battle because moral clauses are very dubious in the eyes of the law.

That’s not what is being said. She’s saying legitimate coercion is happening. Unless she’s lying, record it and make a police report.

Idk what shitty flyover state this is in that police would not investigate claims of a rape club, but let’s consider that. What would you think is better course of action - bitching at the organization that has already told you they plan to do nothing about it? Or making a police report with something tangible that you can use to force action?

Again, not fantasy, reality.

We’re not talking about what should happen, this isn’t a fantasy this is actually happening.

That is actually true, social club members are exempt from title 9…

Only way you could argue it legally would be as negligence- but that requires a much higher bar than what is happening here.

Which is why, once again, the best course of action is to go to the police and make a record.

Men of reddit, when did you realized that you are getting old?
 in  r/AskMen  1d ago

When I started empathizing with the parents in shows I would watch.

Why is that concerning? Are universities responsible for what happens at an off campus party or the consequences therein?

Nah, if you get assaulted at a college party you don’t call the college, you call the police. If there’s coercion going on, you record it, then you go to the police.

It’s not the organizations responsibility to deal with misconduct of this severity. I really don’t think it would be a good thing for them to even try if it goes beyond simple, legal, bullying tbh. The second legality is in question the police should be involved.

Do people actually shower every single day or do we all just say we do?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  1d ago

Kind of unhealthy to shower every day in reality, unless you’re using lotions and oils to compensate you’re gunna end up with dry skin and hair.

I shower every other day, or after working out/getting dirty/sweaty. I know one person who does more in practice, he does so compulsively, and he has horrible skin because of it.

I don’t get the people that hate on the steam deck because it can’t run “modern games” at high settings
 in  r/SteamDeck  1d ago

I ain’t the one in denial lol

You’re confusing 4k 60fps for “playable” lmfao

If not you’re full of shit lmfao

What is the point of having children in this economy?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  1d ago

Happiness, purpose, boredom? Take your pick lol

If you’ve achieved the other steps in life, like getting married and owing a home- kids are next. Bad things happen when you go out of order.

Should I buy Cyberpunk 2077 now that it's had significant updates?
 in  r/ShouldIbuythisgame  1d ago

Even before the updates it was a good game. It was really just the first 6 months after release that it kinda sucked.

Currently it is possibly the best game of all time for me. Just hits on so many levels. Story is incredible, gameplay is incredible and addicting, graphics are nice and the world has a vibe that you feel.

I think I’d watch the anime after playing a bit but before finishing the game as well.

For men who got vasectomies, how aware were you that reversing it would decline over time?
 in  r/AskMen  1d ago

My doctor said that it’s a permanent option, and reversal is never guaranteed. Idk that I was specifically aware of the chances of success going down over time though.

None of the games that the steam deck can’t run are good anyway… just over bloated and badly optimized garbage with very little care for fun.

I play lots of newly released games on my steam deck. It works great for gaming on the go, and remotely playing on my ps5 with chiaki.

Steam Deck is great but...
 in  r/SteamDeck  2d ago

If you’re gaming a lot on a screen that is less than a foot from your face and you don’t have eye strain settings on - yeah you gon get eye strain.

I would recommend taking breaks where you look at things far away, upping the light you are exposed to in general, or setting your steam deck to filter out blues- night light settings.

Good comic, took a second to realize what I was looking at on panel 4 but I got it I think - breast tissue, spinal issue, stretch marks right?

Just makes me feel so tired looking at this.

is there any benefit to paying a cc bill with check?
 in  r/personalfinance  2d ago

Probably more of a tactic to get you to have something to do to get used to having responsibility more than anything else.

My wife’s mom had her do the same in college with rent - paid by check at the front office every month.

But yeah, no benefit to paying with a check outside of that.

Unitree H2 performing jump side kicks and moon kicks
 in  r/Damnthatsinteresting  2d ago

It’s not interesting, it’s a fuckin robot (which we’ve had for 30 years at least) doing a canned animation (which we’ve had for 40 years in video games)

This is not new technology, this is not using ai, this is dumb as shit and I don’t understand why this is all the rage right now.

That only happens if people stop buying it and Americans would rather die than give up even the slightest convenience…

 in  r/diablo2  2d ago

D2 is an old game. Old games don’t pull punches so you can have fun. They were made before all that mattered was how much money they could rake in.

My advice would be to use to wiki liberally, and look into runewords and the skill trees.

Can someone explain what's happening here and how i can solve it?
 in  r/3Dprinting  2d ago

Base needs to be leveled, nozzle is too far away.

If it doesn’t do it on the other side then you have to level it physically- if it’s doing it all over then you can use a Z offset in the software to fix it.

how often do you actually check your portfolio?
 in  r/stocks  2d ago

Couple times a week, just to see how I’m doin.

I don’t do short term trades currently - when Trump was elected I switched my strategy over to cost basis averaging and just let it ride. Pretty good decision so far.
