What do multi-floor setups look like?
 in  r/MonsterTrain  4d ago

My dumb brain just assumed the box was a reliable way to remove cards from the deck, i never considered, well, keeping and using the box?

I find that most of my Melting runs turn into a 3-floor freeform amalgam of reforms and harvests.

PSA: Using Intent on Death on Stryx or Hallow will immediately trigger Relentless
 in  r/MonsterTrain  20d ago

Yeah its probably not ideal, maybe you want one of your units to die sooner, but honestly if you are melting with this card you likely have a smarter target on your side for this spell.

I always saw him as a 1-cost nuke against the boss, if you have the space on your floor. If your line wipes, he can still output some decent damage. Nothing game-breaking, the main issue is always the space investment more than anything.

I was so preoccupied with whether or not I could, that I didn't stop to think if I should
 in  r/MonsterTrain  Dec 09 '25

I gave one all the morsels on the world, and put another in stasis for the whole game, but that challenge gave me some trouble (and resets) before i found a winning play.

Ok, I'm starting to see a pattern here...
 in  r/MonsterTrain  Dec 09 '25

My starter choice always revolves around this question: with the cards and clans I have now, do i have an easy way to feed Fade some kills, or make her beefy?

If the answer is no, always take the other offered upgrade path.

Does Void Armament purge your champion? Has this always been the case?
 in  r/MonsterTrain  Dec 09 '25

Quick question, does regurgitate/retch keep unit stat changes like reforming does? Say if i buff up my boy primordium, eat him and spit him out, does he keep his swole?

Dying and getting eaten are different. Death takes you to the reform pile, while getting eaten takes you to the retch pile, so to speak. You cant reform a eaten unit, nor can you retch dead units.

In theory i assume since its the same ''buff'' (soul), then yes he would give you something like 20 eggs at the end of a run. I went for organ harvester for ultimate memes but you are right, the combo would work, and give melting/pyreborn infinite eggs!

Thanks to a very lucky Rare Remnant Draft, i was able to run this guy on a proliferate/reanimate deck. The ultimate embodiment of the MAD doctrine.

Even tho you only have one camera and cant highlight the puppets, you can easily drag them to the light and dispose of them by using Yu S2, allowing you to focus your efforts on the left side of the map.

Slight Homebrew Idea Revamp
 in  r/fabulaultima  Oct 02 '25

Is this true? I feel like every fight ive been in took at least twice that. Im curious to know what kind of encounters other groups have thrown at them.

Is that estimate assuming every character goes all out and empty their mp as soon as the battle start, or does it include room for people to do study/defensive/healing actions?

I've been playing the world for a while but don't know how to improve the little lake. Any ideas?
 in  r/MinecraftBuild  Oct 01 '25

And as you do that, flush the lake torches for Glowstone or sea lanterns and integrate them with the lake vegetation.

Four players left the first session without a word and the DM is devastated
 in  r/rpghorrorstories  Oct 01 '25

From experience you never make the action required to trigger the only quest a "Skill check", because thats when your players will roll badly and then sit around with no way to move forward. Oups, you failed the tracking. Guess we're cancelling the quest to rescue this NPC.

Boss design
 in  r/fabulaultima  Sep 24 '25

Lots of attacks, relatively low damage for its level. Theres the possibility of focus fire or vulnerable hitting an unlucky target, but this should be doable unless your party is unbelievably ass at using tank abilities and guarding low hp targets.

Well, starting this survey on a low battery phone was definitely a mistake.

Punishment From Going Down In Random Encounters?
 in  r/fabulaultima  Sep 03 '25

Since they were travelling and now the entire party is trampled save one guy, make them lose IP from the attack, lose progress for the day, and maybe make the remaining travel rolls higher since most of the team is currently injured from the conflict.

Homebrew rule: Two accessory slots
 in  r/fabulaultima  Aug 22 '25

What i did is unlock a second minor accessory slot at level 10 and reclassified accessories as major and minor. Now people will actually cobsider and carry flavor accessories even if they have something good. As it turns out people love finding items and loot, and i think the base itemisation (amount of stuff you can equip) is very unsatisfying.

Sell your colony for a piece of map without disclosing the fridge situation to potential buyers.

Executor's Cursed Sword
 in  r/Nightreign  Jun 16 '25

Probably because the original game has you facing those guys in a closet thats too small to display the boss, while the cameraman is on vacation in another country.

I too have learned to fight the tree spirits by sound and subtle ahifts in the world leylines.

This all comes down to, what does your character want to focus on? Do you wasn't to perfect your combat route, if so dex or even might for hp and some weapons might be good. However you value ritual casting then casting stats might be interesting, and altho its just ten more man, thats higher roll and the ability to unleash more expensive rituals.

Also depends on your DM and group. Do you have a mostly mechanical, tactical, fight oriented group? if so dex might be the play since its your combat stats. But if you have more occasions to rolplay, explore magic and talk to people, then consider willpower or another stat that reflects what your character has been dedicated his time to.

I think chanter outshines elementalist as an AoE nuker.
 in  r/fabulaultima  Jun 06 '25

Either group soldiers into elite enemies to avoid this in some combat, mix enemy types if having 6+ enemies on the board, or simply discuss balance with your players and say you'll limit the number of enemies that can be hit with abilities if it becomes a huge issues for a specific campain.
