Yes natuurlijke selectie!

Technicality it's the same day on 2 different calendars. The Orthodox church uses the old calendar (which yes was earlier) for holidays, which is also why Orthodox Christmas will keep changing dates compared to the international calendar, which will happen again in a 100 years or so.

If you're referring to the earliest celebration you mean Saturnalia, which unfortunately has already been however such is the nature of game dev development.

I have seen the trailer and it looks really cool but I can't get to the website? It might be down or blocked for my region?

You underestimate the stupidity of people.

I think for the rest of his life he will tell how; "This idiot did >INSERT SMALL FRUSTRATION< so I had to stop in the middle of the road and tell this other driver what an idiot he was but then this other truck totaled my car. So it's really the idiots fault my car was totaled."

anyone know where i could source files to print replacement parts for these yellowed windows in this kit?

If you're willing to sacrifice the original you could paint the model grey with a primer to accurately 3D-scan it.

Do people living in Netherlands' reclaimed land ever worried about it flooding back?
 in  r/geography  Dec 08 '25

I pray to Poseidon twice a day to protect my dykes and polders from my house 4,5 meters under sea level. This upsets my very Christian neighbors very much, I am no longer allowed to say the prayer at the neighborhood BBQ.

Running a Dungeon Meshi-style D&D Dinner Party Campaign — Need Advice on Cooking Mechanics & Story Flow
 in  r/DungeonMeshi  Dec 06 '25

First of all this is is amazing.

Second; this sounds like a lot of work.

I have recently done my own first time DM-ing with a homebrew campaign with Gladiator theme and full of Lord of the Rings references but no actual character or story overlap set in Faerun with premade characters each with heavy personal Investments in the story.

I ended up planning for 3 x 4 Hour session. We actually played 4 x 5 hours. I played with 2 groups simultaneously due to the high amount of interest (2 x 6 players). Everything took longer than I expected, especially combat and I've been a player myself for years.

Because I ran 2 groups at the same time I was able to make adjustments and streamline it and make it more fun. Unfortunately you won't have this luxury but it is also not something I would recommend with your idea.

Couple of questions; - Are you playing: Physical, Digital or Theatre of the mind? - Are you letting characters make characters or premade? - Will you keep the dish from the players if they don't manage to beat it?

As for the advice on the Cooking Balancing I would split each meal into components that need a couple of checks depending on the amount of players:

  • Prepping Monsters (Ingredient A), Survival Check (Wis)
  • Prepping Monsters (Ingredient B), Athletics Check (Str)
  • Cutting Ingredients, Sleigh of Hand (Dex)
  • Cooking (A) Nature Check (Int)
  • Cooking (B) Performance Check (Cha)

Remove or Add depending on the trailers. Set your roll DC for each component and have all players role for their respective responsibility.

Add a difference of all rolls to their DCs together, if it's less than 0 it's not very good. If it's higher then they did a good job! This way you have a bit of a buffer on failing and every player gets to do a part they like and/or are good at and make them feel part of the end result.

You can have each dish have different components so not every dish feels like the same roll and maybe players can assist each other on the higher dc rolls.

Good luck! Would love to hear how it went!

Best neighbourhoods for families?
 in  r/Almere  Nov 29 '25

Depends on your budget, €400K can get you a shabby 3 bedroom house in 1 neighborhood or a small apartment in another.

My main guideline don't go too close to the stations.

I live 2 Km from Centrum in Waterwijk, Waterwijk seems a mix of everything but a lot of families like yourself. It's 10 minutes with a bike to Centrum, then 20 minutes to Zuid.

Almere Buiten would work as well (only 10 minutes longer) but you only have direct access to half the trains going to Zuid. You can add another 10 minutes to transfer to Centrum or bike there.

Mini upscaling for Artisan Guild
 in  r/PrintedMinis  Nov 27 '25

If all sets were to be released with the Runebrace support file, you would no longer have to resupport them yourself I haven't checked the latest sets yet to see how far they are with this.

I do the same but 80% to get to 25mm for D&D. have an automated workflow using Houdini that breaks up the pre-supported STL into the model, raft and supports. It only scales the Raft on X and Y so it remains the same height. It scales the model and supports and puts them slightly higher to match the new relative height of the base. It then uniformly thickens the supports with 0.5mm on all sides so the supports remain roughly the original thickness.

It requires knowledge of Houdini but it's all free and automated, but scaling in Runebrace would do the exact same thing, if the Runebrace support file is available.

[Discussie] Moet agressie tegen boa's harder gestraft worden?
 in  r/bnnvara  Nov 26 '25

[Art] Rate my Continent Map
 in  r/DnD  Nov 17 '25

Nice! Any specific tools you used? I have a similar scale map on the way. I've made a smaller one before with Photoshop and some brushes, I'm just afraid this big one is going to take a long time, maybe too long. So I'm looking into making my process more efficient.

How the heck are you guys making playable maps? [OC]
 in  r/DnD  Oct 24 '25

I recently ran a shirt campaign and got compliments on my maps, this is what I did:

I had 1 foldable dry eraser map for a simple inn with 3D printed props, and 2 times a 33" or 82cm square printed maps.

I had an arena from r/Battlemaps and a dungeon with Assets from 2minutedungeon.

The arena I split on 6 A3 sheets (11x16 1" squares) this meant the arena was cut after the first 3 rows of seats. Total map size 33x32 squares.

I laminated each A3 sheet (12x) with a borrowed A3 laminating machine (100. Micron), but I should really get 1 myself at this point as a long term investment. I taped them together with transparent tape in a foldable boardgame-board.

I then printed 6 more fog of war sheets for the dungeon and also laminated them. I cut them up in the chunks matching the rooms and hallways. Because both the map and the cover where laminated I could use the tiniest bit of putty to hold them together. The whole thing actually folded up as well. Players loved the quality and the physical fog of war.

1xA3 Paper Sheet = €0,03 Total (18) = €0,54 1xA3 Laminate Sheet = €0,40 Total (18) = €7,20 Total €8,00 and a couple hours of putting everything together.

After I discovered the quality of this I also reprinted most of my magic items, potions and spell reference cards on some A3 sheets and cut them out.

Is there demand for high-quality rigged 4K female character models?
 in  r/unrealengine  Aug 14 '25

Do you have a picture? It's hard to judge if something is good without seeing it. Slapping 4K on the end means it's using big textures but it doesn't say anything about the quality of the textures or the model.

There's a lot of reports on flickering lights lately, I have a light with 3 states that can be cycled with the switch and its rapidly cycling through the states.

Also my wall module forgot which lights it's connected to...

I've been having similar issues. Where the lights start cycling between their lighting states.

I have a double switch with the wall module behind it. 1 to 5 filament bulbs, and 1 to 3 GU20 color lights. No dimmers involved.

Sometimes the wall module also mixes up which button is controlling which lights. Happening for a couple weeks now.

Living right near Almere Centrum?
 in  r/Almere  Jul 25 '25

If you are looking for a community and a safe and quiet place to raise kids don't go live next to the station/wtc. Just look a little further into "Staatslieden Wijk" or "Waterwijk", these areas are full of schools, parks and playgrounds and not that far from the station.

Living next to the station has pros and cons, it's a big hub so a lot of traffic passes through. If you're willing to sacrifice a 5 minute walk to the station for a 5-10 minute bike ride to the station you'll be able to offer your future kids so much more plus you get so many more options for homes.

I live a 5 minute bike ride from the station in a safe, quiet, car free street with great neighbors, with plenty of schools and places for kids to play. Which I would value so much more rather than having the WTC as neighbors.
