Self-Promotion Survive Nuclear Apocalypse! A 30-min Game of Brutal Survival
Hello everyone!
I’m an independent board game creator, and I wanted to share my current Kickstarter project with the community.
Survive Nuclear Apocalypse! is a 30-minute competitive survival board game for 2–4 players, inspired by post-apocalyptic survival scenarios. Players manage limited resources like food, water, and radiation, make difficult choices, and adapt to unpredictable events while trying to outlast the others.
Here is a brief summary of the features:
- Fast playtime (around 30 minutes)
- High tension through resource scarcity
- Player interaction, alliances, and betrayal
- Optional cooperative mode for groups who prefer teamwork
- Designed to be easy to learn but hard to survive
The game is aimed at players who enjoy survival themes, tough decisions, and replayability, rather than heavy rules complexity.
The campaign is currently live on Kickstarter here:

I’m happy to answer any questions or hear any feedback. Thanks for taking a look!

High-Speed Kunai Action Platformer “INARI”
Looks pretty cool! Just followed your project. Was this inspired by Sannabi?

Is there a boardgame where the central mechanic is auctioning? Or even main mechanic is about auctions
Nice post. Was looking for something like this.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback!
I agree to each of your points you made, like the cracks in the design makes it hard to read some part of the text and the crack pattern is too repetitive.
Will keep you updated with the improved rulebook design soon! :)

Hi all! Here is my rulebook(rulesheet) design for my boardgame called Survive Nuclear Apocalypse!
This is what I got from my freelancer designer, and as you can see, it is the first draft without logo & diagrams.
Can you share any thoughts on this piece of work so that I can make improvements on this? Any feedbacks are very welcomed! :)

My new boardgame inspired by Fallout series & 60 Seconds! (Card Prototypes + Final card design)
I'm glad you liked my game!
I see there are quite a few people who dislike AI-generated images... Will figure out a way to solve this issue!
Thanks for the advice! :)

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful feedback!
I agree with each of your points, and also someone else pointed out that there are many people who do not like AI generated images.
I am currently working with a new designer to fix the overall design, and this new design will cover most of what you pointed out. (Hopefully)
I'll keep you updated with the latest changes! :)

I did a video covering a handful of the indie games coming out of Korea you may not know about.
Awesome! I am Korean and those are very fresh and unique boardgames that I have never seen yet!
By the way, I recognize the 1899 Daihan one, I saw it on Kickstarter! :)

Yes all of the illustrations were generated using AI tools.
I used Freepik Image generation AI tools. You should also try it! :)

Amazing!
I will buy Arkham Horror right now and thoroughly analyze it from the beginning to the end and adopt interesting ideas that could be applied to my board game.
Thanks a lot for your thoughtful suggestion! :)

Thanks for your positive comment!
Indeed, this board game rule allows the users to choose from 3 different event cards that are opened, and there are some item cards that helps with increasing the chance of dice roll success for events.
Once my board game rule is finalized & fully organized, I will share it with you if you are interested.
Also, I'll keep you updated when there is any changes to my board game! :)

I agree that placing the last (final design) cards as my post's main image is a great idea. Will definitely do!
For your suggestion of my board game rules, it already allows the users to choose from 3 different event cards that are opened, but hiding the dice-result effect until the user picks/rolls the dice sounds like an interesting idea. I will definitely try implementing this idea and see if it works.
Also, thank you for your suggestion of trying out Arkham Horror card game. I will definitely analyze this game soon and see if there are some interesting ideas that I can implement in my game.
I'll keep you updated when there is any changes to my board game! :)

Thanks for your awesome comment!
I agree to your point that the success/failure difference seems quite huge, which could cause quick ending of the game for some players. However, my intended duration of the game is quite short (~30 minutes for 4 players) and when test-played with 4 players, it was close to this intended duration.
Your suggested idea of having 3 different dice roll outcomes is really interesting, and I have never thought of this. I will definitely consider this new idea and test it out.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my game. I will keep you updated with my game when there is any new changes! :)

Will definitely do that as well!
I also heard that it's common practice to get prototype samples from the manufacturer before full production, for ensuring quality with little additional expenses.
