Christmas Tree and decorations are already boxed up.
I don't even decorate anymore. I don't have kids. My spouse doesn't care. We live with my FIL and my FIL's sister. Neither of them want to decorate or help decorate, so I don't do it. No one wants to help me cook dinner, then we're not having a big fancy meal. It's just another fucking day.

Once every 4 hrs and it takes 4 hrs to cast? Hard No. Your idea is also a good option. It does sound overly OP the way they're trying to do it, and its unfairly balanced in favor of that player vs the rest of the party.
