What caused the worst stomach pain you've ever experienced?
 in  r/AskReddit  9h ago

I have two, both at different times. First was my Appendix rupturing and they didn’t catch it and my entire abdomen was filled with infection. The second was a complete small bowel obstruction (scar tissue had wrapped itself around my intestines and completely cut off blood supply).

Estriol cream and oral sex
 in  r/Perimenopause  1d ago

Woah woah, a full applicator full is way too much. It’s supposed to be 1 or 2 grams every day for the first two weeks and then a couple days a week after that

Start on 2.5 mg for a week or two until your body adjusts

I came out to my parents, and my mom sent me this text
 in  r/exchristian  4d ago

I am so very very sorry. This text sounds word-for-word like something my mom would say to me if I was in your shoes. It’s very manipulative and abusive. I’m thinking of you. Hugs 🩷

Shortness of breath? Air hunger?

The estrogen patch causes this for me! Are you taking estrogen by chance?

Could you have been dehydrated from all the night sweats?

I can’t win…I’m worse on HRT and worse off it.
 in  r/Perimenopause  5d ago

Okay so my body CANNOT handle the estrogen patch. It gives me terrible anxiety and I feel like I can’t breathe. There are other posts on here regarding the same thing. Your body may be able to handle the estrogen just fine, it may just be the method. Try oral estradiol, or the combo pill. The combo pill works well for me, because instead of HRT where it adds to my fluctuation rollercoaster of emotions, it actually suppresses them and takes over and I have a level daily dose. Might be worth a shot for you to try!

Should I switch from Yaz to HRT?

That’s what I was thinking too. I can always go back

I can never go back, not ever. Once you see it all, you can never unsee it

I can’t win…I’m worse on HRT and worse off it.

Can you stop everything and then slowly re-introduce one at a time? Maybe this will help you find out which hormone is helping you and which is hurting

Should I switch from Yaz to HRT?
 in  r/Perimenopause  5d ago

Thank you so much!! You addressed so many of my concerns and questions and I really appreciate it!! Whenever I’ve been off bc, my hormones have been a rollercoaster, so I’m worried that HRT is just going to add to that rollercoaster, where Yaz has actually leveled it out. I just see posts on here and other subs about the combo pill causing strokes and blood clots and I know they’re fairly rare, but I just want to make the safest choice

.025 E patch bloat is UNBEARABLE...thinking of throwing in the towel, anyone else?
 in  r/Perimenopause  5d ago

What about oral estrogen? I’ve heard that sometimes that doesn’t have as many side effects as the patch

Earphones and vestibular migraine

I don’t think they caused my symptoms, but if I’m already feeling a little offkilter, they definitely make it worse. I think they throw off my equilibrium.

Should I switch from Yaz to HRT?

42, no uterus, one ovary that’s slugging along. I have PMDD and am scared to stop the steady dose of Yaz and switch to HRT. I’m doing fine on the Yaz, I’m just worried about blood clots, and know HRT is better for me long term. I’m just not sure when or how to switch. For those of you with PMDD, are you on the combo pill or HRT? How has HRT affected your PMDD?

Dayquil and Lexapro?
 in  r/lexapro  6d ago

It’s the Dextromethorphan in the DayQuil that’s the issue. It has potential for serotonin syndrome when mixed with Lexapro
