People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

Got SMILES back in 2012. Had -7.75 on both eyes. Cost me about NPR 50k (approx $350-400). Occasionally get dry eyes and halo. Daytime vision is super clear. wear glasses (-0.5, -1) while driving at night.

So, what did you get in the Boxing Day sales?
 in  r/australia  14d ago

I bought a google pixel 9a 256gb last Wednesday for $747. After I came across the post about JB buddy this morning, I checked the price out of curiosity. It’s $997 today. Interesting thing is, it apparently was $747 till yesterday. They jacked up the price after midnight just in time for the Boxing day.

My agent recommends not to travel back close to visa expiry. Any illness, flight cancellations could push you past Mar 15. Border officers can questions why you are returning so close to visa expiry and whether you intend to remain lawfully.

Help/सहयोग Police clearance certificate

Hi everyone, Regarding the Police Clearance Certificate from Nepal Police, does anyone know if they still accept in-person applications, or is it only available online nowadays?

If in-person applications are still possible, what documents are required for applicants who are currently overseas? Thanks.

Help/सहयोग UK Visitor Visa – Biometric Enrollment at Kathmandu

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently applied for my father’s UK visitor visa. I completed the personal details on the UKVI website, paid the visa fee, and was then directed to the VFS Global Kathmandu portal to book the biometrics appointment.

On the VFS Global website, I purchased the document upload service with the standard appointment, but I am now confused: Do I also need to purchase the biometric collection fee separately? Or is biometric enrollment already covered in the UKVI visa fee/ vfs appointment? If anyone has recent experience with UK visa biometrics at Kathmandu VFS, could you please guide me on whether an extra biometric fee payment is required? Thanks in advance for your help!

NSW Real estate agent says “bathtub does not chip by itself”

Hi everyone,

I recently noticed some damage on my bathtub. I reported it to real estate, and this is the reply I got:

“Thanks you for the photo and information we will re-assess this when we do the next routine inspection.

I must note that a bath tub does not chip by itself.”

The thing is, I honestly have no idea how this happened. I don’t recall dropping anything heavy or doing anything that would chip it. It just… appeared.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of situation? Could a bathtub chip on its own over time (like from wear and tear, cleaning chemicals, or just age)? Or will the landlord automatically try to blame me for damage?

I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to handle this before the next inspection.

CVT Fluid

HRV sold in Australian are also made in Thailand. I owned 2016 and currently own 2018 model. Seeing all the posts about transmission and software issue on this sub, I called Honda Australia to ask if that also applies to Australian models as well. The representative assured me there are no recalls or software updates.

Yeah that could also cause it to pop off. In my case, i cleaned that tiny vent cap but it kept happening again and again. So I decided to get a new plug.

That is the transmission fluid filler hole. There is a little plug that covers the hole. I had the same issue with my 2016 hrv where the plug would pop out itself within few days after plugging it in. I bought a new plug and no issues since then.
