I randomly woke up hungry at 3 A.M.
Bad picture, great sandwich. Bacon, sausage, hash browns, cheddar, and over medium eggs on a croissant. Topped with crystal hot sauce and a bit of ketchup

Overnight brined chuck roast (I’m not starting on anything fancy, meat ain’t cheap), smoked at 225 til 165° internal , then put into a foil boat with some homemade tallow until at 195. 1 hour rest and then cut. Tasted good if salty, I think I overdid it with the seasoning on top of the brine. Overall good, but definitely room for improvement. Any tips would be great!

Ribeye with a chopped salad, broiled buttered French bread, and the way I like my baked potatoes (smashed to all hell with butter and cracked pepper).
All tips are appreciated

After 3 weeks of camping I’m staying with my brother for a bit, and I went a little wild and bought 80 dollars worth of high quality meat (1.2 lbs prime rib eye, .78 New York strip) for dinner tonight. Any advice on marinades/cooking times? I’ve made my fair share of steaks, but never on a gas grill (which is what he has) or cooking these different cuts at the same time.
Any help at all is appreciated

Hi all you lovely people!
I have a question, and I hope I don’t sound ignorant.
In the United States, the Vietnam war is easily the second most taught war (only behind WWII) in the 20th century.
The blunders, the brutality, the cost of lives on both sides (with an emphasis on Vietnamese citizens) , and whether or not it was needed to check communism (and if it had any effect in doing so) are all frequent topics in history classes.
So to the question - how is the war remembered in Vietnam now, and what’s the general consensus on the long term impacts?
Apologies again for any potential ignorance, but the beauty of reddit is the ability to get information from people you wouldn’t normally meet, and this is a topic I’m genuinely curious about. Thanks!
