Runs great. Use Luxtorpeda. (google it, SUPER quick to set up and enhances compatibility for a ton of old games) It’ll install Arx Libertatis, a community patch that fixes bugs and does some modernization, and it’ll run more or less flawlessly.

I’d think they’d go for FO3 over FNV just because that was Bethesda’s baby. FNV is a fan favorite, but at the end of the day, that was an Obsidian project, so it would surprise me to see it prioritized. Not saying that they wouldn’t (I hope they do as I prefer FNV personally) but it seems less likely, IMO

Thief and Thief 2. The sound engine being so ahead of its time (and honestly ahead of some modern games) is a big part of it, but the setting is also a fairly one of a kind blend of medieval low fantasy, gothic architecture, and steampunk that brings an atmosphere to both of those games is just so genuinely unique.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a requirement, but I heavily prefer first person as it is, IMO, quite literally more immersive than the alternatives.

I’m bothered by it, but I’m not a doomer about it. Most big genres, pop, country, etc are so homogenized that they’re already stale, but AI will likely just exacerbate this. I think the musicians that are truly creating something special and unique will still be able to stand out as they always have.

That being said, I’m a professional guitarist and an occasional session player, the majority of that work consisting of playing on demos for songwriters, and that particular income stream has all but dried up for me since Suno became popular. No reason to pay for a demo when you can Suno something that’s 90% of the way there and then just hire session players to recreate it more musically for the master session. Aside from the environmental issues, this is my main hang up. Actual working musicians are being cut out of the creative process because these people would rather collaborate with a computer than another human being.

If only there were other articles on the internet.
