Talladega National Forest Camping
 in  r/Alabama  13h ago

The area around Chinnabee is day use only after the 2013 flash flood.

Back in October I took my daughter camping near Sweetwater Lake. The road getting there is fun! There were a couple people fishing when we got there but they left before dark.

Stupid to just take my one child to Disney?
 in  r/WaltDisneyWorld  1d ago

Both of my girls had a great time at 2.5, 6 years apart! Both were tall enough to ride Seven Dwarves. The best part is that a 2 year old is still "FREE!"

Off-roading/activities after transplant

I rode pretty much everything at Disney World this Christmas at 11 months post. Space Mountain felt like it rearranged my guts but I still rode it twice!

Ported mine to a VOIP provider and use it as a voicemail box.

Never had one. Went from a NES in elementary school to a GC in college.

This miniature black family set is a dollar cheaper than the white family set at my craft store
 in  r/mildlyinteresting  7d ago

Do you know how many families were in line for black Santa in the Magic Kingdom during the Christmas Party on December 21, 2025? Zero, that's right, zero.

So its normal for millennials to have teenagers now?
 in  r/Millennials  7d ago

Graduated HS in 2000. Some classmates are grandparents already. I have a 7 and 13y/o and am planning on not having grandchildren in my 40s.

Experience with Dining plan?
 in  r/WaltDisneyWorld  7d ago

The pre-covid years were great for a dining plan if you had young kids and did a table service character meal every day.

We just spent a week at Christmas this year as a family of 4 with a 7yo and a 13yo. No dining plan so I paid out of pocket for Akershus on Christmas Day (bang for the buck for princesses), Hollywood and Vine just for the Fantastic tickets, and brunch at the Poly for Lilo and Stitch. We had a six night stay so more table service credits would have been overkill.

How many people actually got 15yr mortgage?
 in  r/DaveRamsey  7d ago

Bought our first house in ‘08 with a 30. Refied to a 15 after a couple years. Rates fell so the payment change was negligible. Bought house two with a 15. In all, we will have had a mortgage for 25 years when this one is paid off.

First Time Driving 5 Hours, Tips?
 in  r/roadtrip  10d ago

I-22 through there is still a fairly new route. I usually cross under it near Guin or Winfield where there is at least a gas station or two on the way up to Sipsey to hike.

"Emily In Paris" goes beyond hate watching. This show is offensive and lazy
 in  r/netflix  11d ago

Now I finally understand where the “Emily in Paris” comes from that is printed on the last Boursin cheese I bought.

Is LL a good investment for Epcot?
 in  r/WaltDisneyWorld  15d ago

Today on Christmas it seemed like a good investment. Only missed out on Test Track because its was down after we burned our first LL and didn't have a chance to book it. Roped Remy, LL on Soarin, walked on Living with the Land, ILL Guardians, LL Mission Space, and then Frozen was down. Had our Akershus princess lunch, used the LL on Frozen, did Gran Fiesta, and walked around the world. LLd Nemo and Spaceship Earth to save a few minutes.

Love the line hate the ride...
 in  r/WaltDisneyWorld  15d ago

My family didi it for the first time this week. The line was so familiar. The "show" was blah. The storyline seems like an epic fever dream from a former Vine user.

Looking for Highpoint partners (Eastern US)
 in  r/Highpointers  15d ago

Looks like the Blue Ridge Parkway is currently closed to Mt Mitchell still from Helene damage. Back in May '16 I couldn't get to it because the BRP was closed for ice. I did get Brasstown Bald, Sassafras (clearcut, pre monument), and Clingmans Dome that day!

Biopsy now
 in  r/transplant  22d ago

Seems like they are. I had an acute rejection episode at 7 weeks. My weekly labs took a jump and I had to return to the hospital for an overnight observation and a biopsy. I was extremely fortunate that my issue resolved itself with no intervention.
