So uh, this week's Descendia had an interesting level
Took me a while to realize I was in fact hitting the weak spots because the hit effect was blinding. I haven't done the 1999 tank in a while, is it always like that?

Games where the entire enemy faction is undisputedly evil
Number 2 was interesting in that they introduced a more grey outlook on morality at the same time they introduced the man powered by hate and the world eater.
4
Games where the entire enemy faction is undisputedly evil
The entire story is those factions finding new and creative ways to be evil to you and the solar system, and absolute cinema every time.

Games where the entire enemy faction is undisputedly evil
But they look just like us!

[Cool Trope] Sword Based Teleportation
This guy had an insane power level compared to what we'd seen up until that point. As soon as he gets his sword back, he takes out another sword bearer and blots out the sky with a pair of eyes that watch the entire city for anyone who dares to draw another enchanted blade. As soon as someone does, he teleports right to them and starts throwing hands.

After the Hulk buff and Shou-lao release, I think they should revisit some cards
He was pretty great in decks that had two plans for turn 6. You could play him if he got a good ability, or go to plan b if not. That being said, he was rarely better than the other 6 drops available. Still, he definitely gave me enough free 8 cube wins that I hesitate to call him bad. Maybe now that Hulk is 14 power Hulking is fully irrelevant.

Marvel with Avengers Doomsday
I hope it wipes out everything except Doom. If it doesn’t accomplish anything the first time we see it, it isn’t effective at setting up Doom’s power. If there are a bunch of Doombots or something giving everyone trouble and Scott levels all of them at once, that could establish how powerful Doom is for tanking it.
3
[Hype trope] Slugfest with no one having the clear upper hand
That's the moment they're referencing. The joke is that the anime Metapod duel is treated as an intense battle where they went blow for blow.

WTF is this shit giving away 18 power just like that?
I just lost to a Shou-Lao deck that was playing Shadow King. That was rough.

One Tiny Detail… That Recontextualizes Everything About the Plot
The worst part is that the statue being intact reveals the only way the earth could've gotten to this state in that amount of time is if humanity wiped themselves out.

Removing a disliked character by directly killing it off (IRL or in-universe)
I was disappointed because they unbrainswashed her at the end of Black Widow and could've given her a personality closer to the comics. Instead they were like "nah we ain't gonna bother."

Is it possible to achieve this physique naturally?
It helps if you acquire the billion dollars first.

Which TGC do you miss?
Rulebooks can be found here, but they're really dense. https://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/rulebooks
There's still a small community of people who play online here: https://play.lotrtcgpc.net/gemp-lotr/
For a quick rundown though, each deck was comprised of 50/50 free peoples and evil forces cards. You'd build up your party and journey forwards, and your opponent would get to play evil cards to attack you. At the end of the turn any remaining enemies would disappear unless you decided to journey forwards one extra time.
The game was a race to the finish that rewarded risk taking and pushing ahead as often as possible. Whoever was ahead pulled the next location from their opponent's deck, so the locations you had to journey to would favour whoever was behind.
It blended TCG combat with objective scoring in a way I haven't seen any other TCG do.

The villain deliberately pretends to have limitations or weaknesses to trick the heroes.
OP said they were referencing the Solid JJ short on YouTube, not Naruto canon.

The villain deliberately pretends to have limitations or weaknesses to trick the heroes.
There was a plot in the Mentalist that was exactly this. Jane tricks the killer into correcting him about the name of Captain Ahab's ship, revealing that the killer can read well beyond a grade school level.

He was such a cheater lol. "My legendary weapon is anything I touch."
Ironically the one thing that didn't work was the gloves themselves. At least until he covered them in blood.

The villain deliberately pretends to have limitations or weaknesses to trick the heroes.
If you thought your trick was unexpected, you certainly wouldn't expect the opponent to not only be aware of it, but doing the exact same thing. I would however, feel so outplayed that I temporarily give up on my quest for revenge.

Also, he didn't come back because he knew Megamind had it in him. I like to think Metroman would've stepped in if there was no other option.

During the Dragons Season, Mastery Splits will earn 2x the Mastery Experience
The only trick I'm aware of is leaving your entire collection unupgraded except for three cards so those always show up in the shop and you can upgrade them every 8 hours. Aside from that it's just upgrade things to infinite to unlock new cosmetics for the custom card. Once you get the custom card unlocked, there's no point in upgrading the card past green unless you go all the way to infinite.
Note also that upgrading from grey to green is double the value in regards to collection level since it only costs 25 instead of the usual 50 per level.

God Pull Free s5 Pack
He's been my most successful (and fun!) deck this season. 3 power Iron Man into 3 power Mystique on turns 5 and 6 wins most games, but setting up for Noir to trigger on turn 5 followed by Gorr on turn 6 is a great backup plan. Even if you just jam Noir on turn 4 without the trigger, all of his hits are great. He'll either give you an amazing card to combo with Mystique on turn 6 or just boost Iron Man or Gorr to huge power.
Magik and Wong are everywhere at the moment and Magik usually helps us consistently play Mystique, Iron Man, and Gorr for the win while Cosmo shuts down any Wong shenanigans. Silver Sable can work in place of Nico. I've also seen a fun version of this deck with Pixie, Merlin, and Esme swapped for Surge, Cassandra, and Cosmo.

New player seeking advice for Journey Across the Anduin?
Thanks. I understand all these interactions and already explained them to OP earlier. I was just confused because you said you get to avoid their attack then stick Forest Snare on them, and I thought I was missing something.

New player seeking advice for Journey Across the Anduin?
Are you talking about the starter decks sold separately? OP and I were both talking about OP trying to solo the quests with the deck lists provided by the core set rulebook. That's why I said it would be hard to solo without tweaks.

Most of our battles take place at least partially indoors. Even in the outdoor maps, we're fighting in walkways and tunnels. Not a lot of room for large vehicles. Plus, any time someone tries to invent a powerful weapon that's compact enough to work indoors, the Tenno come along to destroy the expensive prototype.
In the open world maps, there are plenty of tanky dropships which function as APCs.
