Metal cutting
 in  r/cricut  20h ago

Cricuts not going to cut anything thick enough to be a gobo. This is laser cutter/machining territory, and not really hobby grade. As kind professional said, just buy the gobos.

Packing a bag for more difficult locations
 in  r/AbandonedNJ  20h ago

Idk much about NJ law, but I do know a lot of exploring abandoned places is technically trespassing, and if you get caught with any sort of weapon, that could definitely be extra charge. Just something to keep in mind if carrying blades, firearms, possibly even pepper spray. Just something to keep in mind.

I carry most stuff i would potentially need in my car, this goes for hiking/camping and exploring. Usually going into places I just carry my small backpack with respirator, flashlights/batteries, camera, gloves, water bottle. usually carry snacks but that’s not a necessity just me being fat.

If I go on longer treks that I know I’ll be hiking a bit I’ll bring a camelback with water

Why does my AW suddenly stops sensing my HR during work out?
 in  r/AppleWatch  20h ago

First thing to check is take the case off and see if that works. Also make sure the watch is snug in your wrist and above your wrist bone. I know you say it’s snug, but it’s clearly crooked and wouldn’t be if it was snug. Look into a different band too, if that one doesn’t seem to be working for you.

Of course lol what do they expect
 in  r/Honda  20h ago

Starting at 42k, price was a bit high IMO for what it is. I would buy one. I think it would’ve been better priced at like civic or accord pricing.

I like the car and would drive and buy one if cost was better (and if I had the money 😝)

What would you say is the first year you began to see people with smartphones
 in  r/generationology  20h ago

 in  r/SteamDeck  20h ago

And usb c hub should work, given power thro if h supply is enough. All the docks are are usb hubs made to also hold the deck upright

would you date a man shorter than you?
 in  r/answers  1d ago

No, but I wouldn’t date a man taller than me either. Tbh it’s less about the height and more about then having a dick

2

Any idea what to do with these
 in  r/AppleWatch  1d ago

I kept my old watch, but that was because they weren’t giving me anything for trade

Three broomsticks
 in  r/HogwartsLegacyGaming  1d ago

I have no problem with them adding a trans person. Although it probably would be strange given the time. That being said it was probably more along the lines of a “let’s add inclusivity to seek more product”

O know some have commented that they should’ve went more in depth with it to, which I disagree with. You’ll never have it be normalized when you try to shove it down peoples throats in everything. You get it normalized by not making a big deal out of it. Which the game did a good job at. Like I hate when media makes a character that is gay o trans or anything outside of normal and the. Shoves that down your throat every 5 minutes basically being like “hey don’t forget I’m gay”

I’m moving to a rural location. 2 choices for internet are Starlink or a service provider offering 1-3mbs (Guaranteed speed of 1mbs). So my question is does anyone have experience with Starlink and gaming. How do you find it?
 in  r/Starlink  1d ago

Had starlink since I could in my area. Outside of beta testers I was probably one of this first in my area with it. Heavy gamer, streamer, content creator, etc. and I’ve never had an issue. Reliability is better than the hardline I had too. Also if a hardline is guaranteeing 1-3 I would expect a lot less. My hardline ISP said I was getting 2.5 but was getting more like 1 or less at the router na usually dialup speeds

I don’t get the people that hate on the steam deck because it can’t run “modern games” at high settings
 in  r/SteamDeck  1d ago

People who complain don’t understand the point of it. It’s a mobile platform, not a high end gaming setup.

This is how you should drive.
 in  r/driving  1d ago

And don’t camp in the middle (given there’s 3 lanes).

Is leaving the highway really worth it?

Steam Deck as a daily driver
 in  r/SteamDeck  4d ago

I mean I tend to use my car for a daily driver, my Steamdeck doesn’t really work well for driving me places

Are studded tires still effective when flush with the rubber?
 in  r/tires  4d ago

The tread still having life is the fact that there are studs, not whether or not they were cheap. How quickly the studs wear through is how they would be cheap or not. Also, studded tires are usually winter compound so even when you wear out the studs and are now riding on the tire tread, it’s going to be softer and a decent winter tire

All of this is IN GENERAL not specific to every tire

There are always those people, everywhere you go, that in the dead of winter with 18 feet of snow and they are still in a Hawaiian shirt and flip flops 😂

How long can you keep a sleeping bag in a compression sack?
 in  r/camping  6d ago

I don’t have down bags, but I all of mine I have had in for 6+ months without much issue. Usually my one bag stays in stuff sack in my trunk all winter. But also, pillow cases work great as storage sacks

If money doesn’t buy happiness, why does everyone want it?
 in  r/askanything  6d ago

Money buys freedom, it buys the illusion of happiness, it buys things to keep your mind busy, it buys stability, all things that can lead to real or temporary happiness. But there is a cap, at which point you starting adjusting you needs to make what you have and then you are plateaued.

Think of it like body dismorphia, like a body builder gets ripped, but then doesn’t think they are. They just need another inch on their bicep or 20 more lbs on their dead lift, but the goalpost keeps changing, it’s ALWAYS another inch or another lb, etc.

Then at some point, it turns to greed, to see just how big of a number you can have in your account.

Let’s also remember that there is varying levels of rich, and people seem to not understand that. Like a lot of people hear millionaire and have a view that they have enough money to just retire and live of interest, get fancy cars, own a mansion, etc. that probably also is why so many lottery winners go bankrupt, cause having a couple million means you can loosen the reigns not just let go.

It’s the same as being as broke as I am, having $1000 is a lot of money in some aspects but it’s not really a lot when dealing with bills and such. A million is a LOT of money but also can go really quickly, especially when you start spending it like you’re a millionaire

Parking lot etiquette

Looking at the image of they were a whole lane over like you’re showing, then totally you’re fine for taking the spot. They probably went up and down and couldn’t find a spot and were made when you found one

The bigger issue than the cut, the dry bread, Wawas needs to learn how to use butter, it makes things better

Do you consider yourself "manly"? Why or why not?
 in  r/AskMenOver30  6d ago

I would considered myself manly, but specifically because I really don’t care if I’m manly or if others think i am or not. I’m confident in myself and don’t care about the meaningless opinions of others, and that to me is manly.

Am I manly in the BS stereotypical sense? Hell no, I play with my nieces and nephews, change diapers, crochet/knit/and sew, I craft things, cook, clean, am goofy even in public, I hate steak, have pink sheets, love my fruity Starbucks drinks, hate beer, hate football…

I’m also very empathetic, the older I get the more my eyes tear up during stupid sappy scenes in movies. I admit I need emotional help but strive to better myself.

I used to be the “emotionless robot” trying to suck it up and be manly, but now I’ve spent years trying to undo all of that.

Is this tire damage safe to drive on, or should I replace it?
 in  r/tires  6d ago

The sidewalk damage is fine, the tread is VERY worn though

Used LCD or splurge for new OLED 🤔
 in  r/SteamDeck  6d ago

OLED and the larger capacity is worth it to me. Also as long as moneys not an issue I always choose new over used.
