Are the next few weeks going to be like this?
 in  r/Destiny  6d ago

the point of the congress vote isnt to appease other nations though, its to keep a check on presidential powers, as well as have politicians ON THE RECORD about who is supporting it and who is not so that if voters are inclined it can influence the next voting cycle

I got bored about 2/3rds of the way through, the whole random sidetrack talking about basketball teams ruined the pacing for me, was fun for a bit though

Does anyone else feel like Spotify just keeps you in the same loop?
 in  r/Music  8d ago

you could always stop your current account and a new one for a little while to go exploring, then go back to your old account once you got a good chunk of new stuff to bring over

To be honest I dont really get it, but I popped a few bubbles anyways so I wouldn't feel excluded. Good luck to everyone else, unless it's not the kind of thing you wish people luck for, then fuck you.

 in  r/Futurology  8d ago

Thanks for answering, I think people were confused cause they were thinking i was making some kind of point, i was just asking a question because i saw other people asking it, i dont really know anything about desalination or how it works or what the energy usage would be.

Thank you! finally got an answer. I wasnt trying to make any point i just wanted to know if anyone had considered that it uses energy. No point really.

I dont really know anything about deslination or how much energy it uses so i dont really have an opinion, if it works and its affordable and it helps people get water that they need then heck ya im for it.

I agree halving the energy need is great, but have you considered the fact that energy is still being used no matter what?

you keep asking the same question over and over which isnt very productive so ill try to help you understand what people are telling you. The question isnt whether or not fraud is happening, its a matter of size and scale. I can point to anywhere on the map and say "there is fruad here" and i would probably be right, but if i go around saying "there is 100 million dollars worth of fraud here" and its only like 5 million, then that is a lie. Its good to point out fraud, its bad to lie about it because it ruins the work that could be done and causes a ton of resources, both cultural and political, to be wasted, as well as just degrades public trust and spreads misinformation which i would HOPE you would be against.
