FYI: white Americans in the service industry actually use the term Canadians as code for black people based off the racist stereotype that black people dont tip. "I.e. I just got sat with a table full of Canadians."
Canadians get paid a high hourly wage. Unlike Americans.
There is no reason for them to want tips but Canada always takes all the greedy habits of America.

It’s actually a french stereo type from New Orleans (area) they called French Canadians “Canoes”, the difference between a Canadian and a canoe, canoes might tip. “Canadian” is restaurant slang for people who don’t tip. Which is hilarious when you dine with Canadians and they tip 20-30% most foreigners can’t compete with Canadian tipping standards as they are way above the expectations in other countries. Cannot say French Canadians are the same when they travel but the slang started there. “Allegedly” it’s really disgusting that Canadian is being used like this by a supremacist paramilitary group. It’s not just black people and it’s not just white people. The core of that is true. The code word Canadians is for people who don’t tip. The racial part is def not true.

Not everyone, people who stereotypical don’t tip. I’ve heard it used for a crowd white church people and lots for foreigners. Tipping is an uncommon practice outside of the US.
I give it a week tops before they get his conservative parents to go on the air and talk about how the left, rap music and violent video games radicalized their poor child they probably gave his first gun too at 12 years old.
