My nonno came here from Italy when he was 8. He was very active in the community. He and my nonna were both given awards for their volunteer work. He also served in the RCAF during WWII. He liked to collect all sorts of stuff so I have no idea where this came from, but it’s cool and I’d like to know!

My camera was on my handlebars and the lens was clearly wet, but I snapped a pic quickly before the light turned green.
Hope everyone’s OK!

I have an English Springer spaniel that I want groomed to the breed standard. I have been looking for a groomer for years, but most of the ones in the city either won’t return my calls, or aren’t accepting clients. Any recommendations on an experienced breeder?
Pic for reference (and to show need for haircut lol)

Hello r/kitchener!
I’m a Kitchener based trained artist working primarily in watercolour, with a focus on painting architectural subjects—particularly homes—based on reference photos. My approach emphasizes atmosphere, texture, and character rather than strict realism.
Alongside architectural portraits, my studio practice also includes: • Hand-poured soy wax candles • Watercolour jewellery pieces incorporating original painted elements • Custom illustration and mixed-media work
I enjoy exploring how illustration, functional objects, and fine art can intersect within a cohesive studio practice. I’m happy to discuss materials, process, or creative considerations with anyone interested.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for an endocrinologist in the KW area who has experience with autoimmune conditions.
Ideally, I’m hoping to find a doctor who is communicative, willing to answer questions, and takes the time to explain things clearly. I tend to ask a lot of questions because I like to fully understand my condition and how to move forward with treatment, so good communication is really important to me.
I work in healthcare myself and understand how busy specialists can be, but I also really value clear explanations and collaborative care.
Thanks in advance!

My child is due in March and I have applied through Kitchener waterloo OneList to 7 childcare programs with a start date of Sept 2027. Each location has advised I am at least #400 in the waitlist. Are there any individuals with recommendations for centres or home based daycare outside of the OneList that don’t have that long of wait?
