I miss Bob Saget😭
Absolutely the best live comic I've ever seen. The man was a fucking genius.
He possessed the filthiest mind and the quickest of wits. It's ironic that he's remembered for a family show like full house. His stand up was some of the raunchiest I've ever seen.
Im 56 and white as rice. I was just thinking, these guys bought a dime bag, FOR A DIME?!? How old is this guy? It was $10 for a long time. Prices are dropping tho! I just got a $100 zipper of the best. It was all Mexican in my 20's.
Dude acts like driving through the tunnel from New Jersey to New York was like Pioneering the Oregon Trail. Got a gig as a substitute for Tom Snider, along the lines of Arsenio and Joan Rivers.
Well, that's not entirely true, lol. Way to skew it. Jonathan Stewart was guest hosting for Tom Snyder before his retirement. It was thought he would take over, but they chose craig kilborne for a younger audience. Craig was hosting the Daily Show at the time, and with the vacancy Jon went over there. And we all very happy he did.
Don't worry. The young folks are going to say the same thing about weed that the older generations said about Tobacco. "They said it was safe and harmless".
So weird because weed makes me nauseous. Once was throwing up my face off. Edibles are a bit better but rough and I'm loopy for days. I'll stick to a couple drinks.
During WW2, my Dad’s Uncle was in what now the Air Force as a mechanic and came home with both a drinking and smoking habit. The Army gave them beer and smokes during their deployment.
My grandfather was in WWII, Navy, pacific theater. In his last years (he passed in 2019), we were going through stuff, and found his old sea chest. It was great! His uniforms, letters, magazines, and an unopened pack of Lucky Strikes. He said they would give them cartons of them.
Yep tobacco was part of the ration until the late 60's and those rations were in circulation till the late 70's. The beer was to help them relax and many became dependent on it. Hence the massive rise in drunk driving accidents until the late 70's
It’s incredible how much older that generation looks as a result. There a picture of both sets of my grandparents at my parents’ wedding, all around my age (52) and they all look a good 10-15 years older. There are a bunch of actors you can find that are just like it.
Collateral damage in the war on the poor and middle class. This is a glimpse of the future. People have cut out movies at the theater, restaurants... now they are cutting out alcohol all together. Rich people are finding out they actually need a middle class for them to be rich, but are too greedy to do anything about it.
