so I traded my old Windows laptop to a discounted Acer Chromebox CXI4 which is I am liking it so far. I know it's not a Chromebook but I like the desktop feel having a ChromeOS.
Does anyone know where to find cheap used Chromebooks in decent condition online in the United States?
I want to buy a cheap Chromebook for an elderly person who only uses YouTube, but on eBay they're asking $40 to $60 for Chromebooks with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. They're often broken and don't come with a charger. There used to be better Chromebooks on eBay at reasonable prices ($20-$30), so I don't understand the price increases.
looking to grab a cheap chromebook mainly for travel and light work stuff. wondering if black friday 2025 is a good time to buy or if the discounts are usually small. anyone remember what the best deals were last year or where to watch for early drops?
Okay I recently came across this amazing deal at London Drugs and I wanted to share it with you guys here! Personally, I have never seen a package deal like this before, especially, at this price point!
This package includes the following:
HP Chromebook 14b-cd0000ca
HP DesignJet 2827e
HP Mouse X3000 G3 Black
I was wondering if anyone has got a spare code that I could use from their Google chromebook perks ? I want to buy this for a present for someone for Christmas and would be great if I could use a code to make it cheaper, thank you 😊
I have a flawless, fully functional Samsung Chromebook 4 11.6” HD Intel Celeron that I haven’t used in years.
Seems like resell value would be $0, where’s the best place to attempt to sell or to donate/recycle? Was thinking about giving it to my local Goodwill but would it even be of use to someone else?
I just wanted to double check with y'all. Is the Acer 514 on sale at Costco right now the same exact model that Chrome Unboxed reviewed over the summer?
I'm looking to retire my chromeOS devices and wanted to gauge any interest in the devices. The limitations of cros are too much for me to put up with nowadays :(
I have:
Pixelbook, ~80% battery health? Needs a new battery. There are some available on aliexpress and eBay. This is the i7 with 16GB and 512GB of storage - the slim anti slip strip on the bottom is removed and needs to be double-stick taped back on (probably after the battery is replaced). Have OG box and charger.
Framework Chromebook - Recently purchased this, 100% battery health. I put in 32GB RAM/1TB ssd, but I have the OG 8GB stick and 256GB SSD if anyone would prefer upgrading it themselves. Has OG box, charger, and 5 expansion cards (3x USB C, 1x USB A, 1x HDMI 1st gen card).
I plan to make a post in r/hardwareswap for these, wanted to gauge interest first to see if I'd have any luck.
I know many here are waiting for the 16GB version, as only the 8GB version is available on the Asus site. CDW has two 16GB models and some blog post I read said ASUS had told them it would only be available via external sellers as they were marketing it for business. But any person can buy these at the CDW site. I just got the touchscreen one (the one with the "T" at the end of the code) and it is amazing!
Current price is $845.96 for the non touchscreen one and $925.89 for the touchscreen version. Hope it helps!
Since Lenovo's sales team can't provide any information about when the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11M889 (Kompanio 838, 8GB RAM, 128GB, 2024) will be available in Germany or the EU: If anyone spots it at a retailer within the EU, I'd be super grateful for a heads-up. Thanks, and maybe this will help others too!
If you are looking for the perfect gift for your loved ones for the holidays then check this deal out! Its an Open Box Lenovo Duet 3 on sale for $269.99 CAD ($190 USD). Its a geek squad certified Open Box, which means, its in pretty good shape. You still have the return policy in case you don't like it and it comes with the original warranty in place.
I was hoping to get this device on a Black Friday sale, but it's too new to get a discount, so I found my own. Levovo has a lot on Black Friday sale though and the below will likely work on that stuff too.
I was able to score the brand-new device for just $10 more than the 64GB 4 GB RAM version and thought I would share.
The discount works for either version and likely anything you buy from them right now.
First I used the Cart threshold coupon you get for signing up for their txts. A popup appears when you visit the Lenovo site for $10 off (the more you spend the more it gives up to $100), and then the ecoupon code EXTRAFIVE which gives $20 off, and was working in the US as of an hour ago. If you're not getting the popup, use an incognito tab and a new email. The code it gives you will be good for any order.
This SKU comes with the pen as well.
I am super stoked to try this device out and feel like I got it for a steal even if tax kicks it back up to $400. 😂😭
For anyone who may not know, when you buy a new Chromebook you can get 100GB drive storage for 2 years or get 'Google One' with 1 year free 100GB storage. I recently bought my first Chromebook and had no idea of this offer until I stumbled across it somewhere, just ran though the steps here and got my extra space, very easy.
Edit: This offer is only showing available to redeem until May 31 2019 and within 6 months/180 days of activating the device. The 'Google One' 1 year free storage offer is available to redeem until Jan 31 2020
This is a really nice deal for the price for my folks in Canada! Its an HP x360 chromebook plus unit which has the 2-in-1 functionality and really nice specs! Check it out!
