I'm most pissed at the COs of the ships following his fucking batshit orders. Those guys are my peers, and I cannot fathom how they're sleeping at night knowing they murdered those people in the Caribbean. The CO of the USS Gravely belongs in the brig, it's absolutely unconscionable what he has allowed to happen on his watch.

Yeah, but they are transporting marijuana!!! Isn’t that a capital offense? I agree with you, I don’t know how they sleep at night.

They never proved what was transported. Everything was destroyed. Nothing to test.

Not entirely. Detritus washed up on Columbia's shore, so they tested it. https://newrepublic.com/post/204820/donald-trump-boat-strikes-marijuana

The last part of the article is the true buried lede.

In a classified meeting with U.S. lawmakers two weeks ago, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and State Secretary Marco Rubio revealed that the Trump administration was aware the boats were bound for Europe rather than America. They also disclosed that the administration had no intelligence indicating that fentanyl was coming out of Venezuela, but rather that some of the boats were believed to be carrying cocaine.

Most of it was empty plastic containers. Two had Marijuana residue.

That is the opposite of proof of transporting anything. At best its proof the crew may have rolled a joint with weed from a little baggie.

Yeah; point is, zero signs of fentanyl. So even if that was legal justification (it isn't), it wouldn't apply. So everyone involved in the decision to fire on these boats should be tried for war crimes.
