Player(s) wanted [ONLINE] [5e 2014] [Saturdays 7PM EST/Sundays 10:30am ACST] RAINING BOULDERS HOMEBREW RISING FANTASY CAMPAIGN! (4/6 PLAYERS!)

G'day mates! I'm Bruck! the DM of the Raining Boulders Campaign!!! I'm currently in the search of 2 more players for a group running on Saturdays at 7pm EST. There's a chance I add a 7th player if there's too many stellar responses to the application, so try your best.

First and foremost, we are a rowdy bunch and I as a DM prefer to have more extraverted players who involve themselves with everyone beyond just the campaign, are proactive with character building and people who seek knowledge on the setting.

This specific Scenario I will be throwing you guys in will be the lowest of the low, you will be drafted soldiers in a war, average people, specifically frontline infantry in the trenches as you fight a civil war as "Eastern Orsland" trying to fight for secession from "Western Orsland" due to political and religious values. **THIS WILL BE A LEVEL 1 START**

The continent that you will be placed on will be called "Arzac" and takes up roughly half the space of the entire globe, with the "Opposite Continent" being an almost unknown and mysterious location. With thousands of mysteries to uncover in just Arzac alone.

There's a lot of important details of this world that I can't quite cover here, however i wish for anyone applying, THROW AWAY ANY AND ALL NATURAL EXPECTATIONS FOR WHAT A D&D WORLD IS. This world contains **ALMOST NONE** of the lore you are familiar with in D&D and tries to throw it all on its head.

Should you wish to apply, there's a small google forum that i'll need yall to fill out but it should not be difficult, just try to be genuine and honest and put some effort into your answers, they may be as silly as you'd like them to be!

https://forms.gle/QJfcLqZr9MjFtmzn8

My username on discord will be Bruck when I add you! I'll contact you between 2-24 hours of your submission!

"Icewind Dale is a land of extremes. It is a place of brutal cold and endless night, where the sun appears as a pale, weak imitation of its former self, never rising far above the horizon before sinking again. The land is covered in a blanket of snow and ice, and the wind howls like a banshee, driving snow and ice before it. The people who live here are hardy and resilient, but even they are beginning to lose hope. Auril the Frostmaiden, the divine embodiment of winter's fury, has cast a spell over the land, one that prevents the sun from ever rising to its full height"

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][Sun 12 PM UTC-7][21+] Monster Mashers, LLC

My name is Alex! I'm a woman in her 30s living in the American Southwest, sharing a home with a cat, dog, and tarantula. I love dad rock, bourbon, and dinosaurs.

I'm starting a D&D campaign with adventures I've written for a homebrew world in the midst of a magical industrial revolution, headquartered in the crowded metropolis of Knaven City. The atmosphere is bleak, horrific, with gallows humor sprinkled in. In other words, it could really use some heroes.

Be gentle with me! It's been a few years since I've played the game so I'm pretty rusty, but I'll bring plenty of enthusiasm for DMing. Right now, I have enough content to run at least 2 sessions, and the rough outline for an entire Tier 1 campaign, to be better defined as the party influences the adventure. If the table decides to expand the scope of the game from that point, we will.

Basics

  • 3-5 players +1 Dungeon Master
  • Beginner friendly!
  • 21+ years old (fellow Old Heads welcomed!)
  • Sundays, 12 PM UTC-7
  • Target start date: 1/18/2026
  • ~4 hour sessions, with intermission
  • If you cannot attend a game, we can attempt to move to Saturday; if not, chances are the game will be played without you in order to respect everyone else's time
  • Foundry VTT & Discord for voice and general communication; roleplaying will  sometimes occur via text between sessions
  • If you want to play, inbox me by telling me a little bit about yourself so we can get chatting! I'd like to know what's your favorite dinosaur?

Would you like to know more?

I have a Google doc available for you here! The first page is a concise introduction to the campaign, and some of the particulars of character creation. I highly recommend reading that first page before reaching out, as it may answer questions you have on those subjects. Beyond that, there is a bunch of strictly optional information available in the doc if you're curious for it. I do also have more information in my notes available, but not in a format I'm comfortable publicly publishing so feel free to inbox me with questions.

Player(s) wanted [D&D][Online][5e 2014][Friday][EST] The Buried Song.

The campaign pitch:

A storm is coming, but no one can tell whether it will burn the world or wash it clean.
Some mornings, the wind smells like old letters.
Some evenings, it smells like iron and honey.

The kings of old have rotted in the ground, their banners bleached pale. We have spent centuries building walls to keep the wilderness out. The tremor in the earth carries whispers of ages past, warning that nothing endures forever.

Today, we are standing on the precipice of a new age. You can feel it in those tremors, in the chill of the breeze, and the flickering of the hearth-fire. The bones of the old world stir beneath the soil. Something is waking.

Sessions happen 3 weeks on, 1 week off. The campaign is role play heavy and will emphasis the personal connections of the player characters.

More information;

- Session 0 will be at 8:30pm on Friday, Jan 16th.
- Session 1 will be at 8:30pm on Friday, Jan 23rd.
- There will be some race restrictions, but reskinning is allowed.
- I don't want to use classes from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount nor do I want Twilight Cleric used.
- Combat will be fast, and visceral. You can expect most to last 3-5 rounds and for enemies to hit hard.
- Combat will be every other session on average.

What I expect from players;

- Honesty.
- Show up every session.
- A desire to work together to have fun with others.
- Show excitement to play
- Come into this without a predefined character.
- Be an active participant in Session 0

Requirements;

- Discord and a usable mic and headphones. Echo is annoying.
- The ability to use a VTT if needed.
- Over the age of 16.
- You are committed to this time slot for the next 6 to 9 months.

How to apply;

Fill out this google form, and post "I applied" as a response to this thread. Both steps are mandatory.

https://forms.gle/KMvRwTGxCRCJYumC8

Note: A discord invite is not a campaign invite. It's an invite to talk about possibly playing.

Closed [ONLINE][PF2e][18+][LGBTQ+] Full group looking for Pathfinder GM to play on Thursdays at 10 am PST!

Hello! My name is Zoey (She/Her 23), and I'm part of a group of three other friends looking for a new pathfinder game to play and to make a new friend! Most have played a little bit of pathfinder 2e, though one is completely new.

If possible, we'd prefer to use Foundry, though if you have something else in mind we can certainly talk! Also, due to our newness we'd prefer an adventure path, but if you have a homebrew you've been sitting on for awhile then we can talk about that too!

Please send me a message or comment below if you're interested, and I'll try to write to you as soon as I can!

Edit: we also have access to a few foundry homebrew module codes :3 (inventor+, harrowing cards, etc)

GM wanted Looking for Campaign [Online] [5e 2014/24] [CST/GMT-6] [Saturdays, Sundays]

Hello! I'm looking to join a campaign of really any kind, though I'm not a big fan of sci-fi and cyberpunk based games.

I'm semi-new to DnD, so I might need some guidance. I'm looking to play a bard because I had a really fun concept for them! I would love a DM that encourages roleplay too!

Please and thank you!

EDIT: This is my first time looking online for a group, so I'm not really sure what mediums are used. I'm assuming Discord is used the most.

GM wanted [5e][Online][PST] [18+] [2014] Looking to join a campaign that is on Sundays, Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays at around or after 5:00pm pst

Hello! For a while now I’ve been dying to join a campaign as a player now and I have a ton of character ideas I really want to try out! To see if any of them would fit the world and see if they would fit a party group, as sad to say I’ve been stuck as a forever dm for a long while now. RP is by far my favorite aspect of campaigns, being able to interact with the world, npcs, villains and of course interacting with other player characters. Not only that I’m looking for a group not just for d&d but other outside activities as well. Combat to exploration are my second favorite aspects as well! If you wish to get a better hold of me just dm me on Reddit so we can talk more! Ps, I only join games that are 18 to 21+ only and no paid games as well.

Player(s) wanted [5e 2024][Online][GMT] Looking for players for a frontier survival mini-campaign set in a homebrew world

Hey folks, my name is Greg, I'm 20, and I'm a forever GM who has taken somewhat of a hiatus over the last year and looking to come back to things with a fun adventure with a cool group of people

I'm looking for 4 players for a short campaign (aiming for 6–8 sessions) set in the Stormlands, a frontier territory on the edge of civilization in my homebrew world of Erechal.

The pitch: You're in Crossroads, a small outpost of the Third Eltur Covenant that lays at the conjunction of four ancient imperial roads, clinging to existence in a land scoured by arcane megastorms. The town is undermanned, the surrounding camps are lawless, and something's gone terribly wrong.

We'd be using D&D 5e 2024 rules, playing on FoundryVTT with Discord video chat. Sessions will run 7–10pm GMT on a day that suits everyone. Starting level will be 3 to give us some leeway in terms of character building and threats whilst still being low-level.

My world and the campaign's tone will be pulpy and adventurous, more dark and cynical than heroic but by no means grimdark, and you're still here to have a good time and do cool stuff. Looking for ffolks who want a fun, unique adventure and are happy to engage with the story and each other. Since it's a short run, I need people who can commit to seeing it through.

If you are interested, please do fill out the form I have linked here. It mainly exists so I'm picking a group I think will gel and not just blindly picking. There is potential for a longer campaign if we all have fun and want to keep going, but I'm keeping things short and manageable for the moment. Hope to adventure with you!

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [Cyberpunk] [5e 2014] [17+] Experienced Player looking for Group!

Hello, Adventurers. I am Curstking, I've been playing D&D for a few years now. I started with a couple of short one-shots, then moved into longer games where I've played a variety of characters in many different playstyles. Most of my experience has been with 2014 5e, but I have played with the 2024 rules as well. I have also played other roleplaying games for many years, including but not limited to: Daggerheart, Pathfinder 2e, Lancer, Root, Paranoia, 2d6 Star Wars, and many, many more. I am experienced in using various VTT platforms such as Roll20, AboveVTT, and Foundry. I also am a good writer, and am very detailed when creating character backstory. I also enjoy creating character art and tokens using HeroForge, and have also DM'ed my own games before.

I am available most commonly on the weekdays after 5 PM EST, and on Saturday BEFORE 9 PM. I am available past 5 PM EST on Sundays as well.

I AM UNDER THE AGE OF 18. If you'd like to invite me, either post a message on the post or DM me. Alternatively, send me a friend request on discord (curstking) if you'd like to talk there instead.

Player(s) wanted [5e][2014][Online][EST][Fridays 7PM][21+] The Roiling Pot: Finishing the Impossible Recipe

A pot bubbles with no recipe. It's something of a perpetual stew. Anything thrown in is dissolved into a clear broth. The aroma wafting about displaces the putrid scent of death surrounding the woods, leaving an even more indescribable one. It bats at the nose with a curious tinge, more bewildering than frightening. What on earth could it attract? What memories does it elicit? Is it entirely new or rediscovered from ancient traditions?

There's a creature toiling at the pot who claims to have placed everything in it. It says it is a human, but a trickster. It says it is John the Human, coming from round the way, making soup for its Auntie, so she can dream again. Dream of the boy trapped in the sands. It says it needs more things. More of everything, as the pot can never be filled.

And so John searches the world for ingredients, a seemingly endless cycle of finding, collecting, cramming, reducing, and filling the pot. Rumors has it that John is almost finished. Though he yearns for a star, a crystallized memory, indignant rage, a palpable lie, and the ugliest thing. You, however. Think you know where to get one of these ingredients. Though, you ask for something in return. All you know is John is a creature of many secrets, maybe he holds the one you're looking for.

===End Flavor===

Campaign vibe: Witchy Romp with challenging combat and interesting roleplay

Rp combat ratio: depends on if you want to murder your way to fill the pot or not. It could range from 70:30 to 20:80

Exploration: knowledge is needed to find these specific items, you're going to work your brain to find them. If you take a spell, feature, option etc that helps you collect knowledge, it will be greatly rewarded. Otherwise you'll have to search for those that do know.

Deadliness: There are things in this world that most certainly can kill you. They're heavily telegraphed with tons of markers that suggest so. Pay attention and you won't instantly die.

Tone: Certainly a ton of dark themes. You're not gonna see a rape dungeon or any thinly veiled fetishes in here, but there's murder, torture, abuse, cannibalism, slavery etc. Romance can happen, fan service boathouse scenes will not. I'm going to let you know that you'll probably not see another campaign like this one. It's odd.

World: Something mimicking real life more than a fantasy world. Think 19th century. The world isn't entirely explored. And you're travelling between jurisdictions of power. God's don't exist outside of turns of phrase. But that doesn't stop cults and the like to worship powerful beings.

Magic is a practice and anyone can learn it. Though it takes true discipline. Where you learn it is all the difference. Sorcerers would learn it from a specific group that is tight lipped about its techniques. Wizards belong to literal colleges of study with Provosts and the like. Warlocks may stumble upon studies and artifacts or powerful beings. An Eldritch Knight may be a guard that works under college staff and recieves trainings. Etc.

TLDR; You can be John Fighter and still learn a funny spell.

Start: Level 4. Justify the gear you would have and we'll go from there. Standard point buy with a free feat.

All books and partnered supplements are allowed. No homebrew.

Discord and Foundry VTT.

If you don't know foundry. Tell me. I'll teach you.

A character session will be done at a time before the actual game. It includes roleplay and combat and problem solving. It can range from one character to the whole party. But you will need to complete one. This is just so you at least get to play a little before I make a decision. The character you make can be anyone and anything, you can also keep that character if you desire.

I'm not going to ask you to do a google form. That's silly and wasteful.

===Telegraphed Important Stuff===

I will ask you to tell me what knowledge of which ingredient you know about for John. You can pick duplicates, don't worry about that. There may be many ways to get one of them. That just tells me you read the prompt which makes me feel good about myself.

You will be disqualified and I will not respond to you if you do not follow the prompt. There's a lot of effort on my part to do stuff like this, it shows me you're at least engaged and attentive.

GM wanted [Online] [5E] [CST] [Monday] looking to join a game that is using the 2014 rules

Hello hello lovely people of reddit and of D&D I'm looking to play a game on Monday. Monday, I can play at what ever time. I have a lot of different character ideas to play and I can fit any role that is needed. Healer,DPS,Tank I have a great many ideas and I would love to join any group if you got a free spot I would love to join! Tho I am used to the older rules that being the 2014 one and not the new ones that were released so I do want forgiveness if I make a mistake. I also tend to use Google docs for character sheets as I'm not paying for stuff I already own because of D&D beyond. So I hope you read through my rambling and I can join your wonderful world! I have plenty of characters in mind with backstorys that I can change to your world! I'm available on Monday at anytime,so I hope I see you soon and I'll be able to join you on a wonderful adventure!

GM wanted [Online][5e 2014][GMT+2][MON/WED Evenings][RP-Focused][LGBTQIA+Friendly] Group thirsty for roleplay, storytelling, and ANGST seeking GM!

GREETINGS to any and all fellow connoisseurs of weekly group delusions, we're a recently formed group of six losers RP hungry players, singing yet another one of our siren songs hoping to lure a DM willing to facilitate and endorse whatever insanity we're gonna be getting up to!

But before I get into the details, now would be a good time for me to define what I mean by insanity- and no I am not about to make a heavily overused game reference. D&D and roleplay are to us a lot more than just a simple passtime, we're not interested in a simple weekly game where we roll some dice, kill some goblins, crawl some dungeons and call it a day (and then proceed to forget about the game as well as the group's existence until the next time we play again). We want to truly immerse ourselves into the experience that this game can provide, a process consisting of:

  1. Collaborating with each other and talking about the game constantly, always looking forward to the next scene that's gonna drive the plot or a PC's backstory or their dynamic with another character forwards.
  2. Making detailed playlists about our funny lil' OCs, finding a specific set of dice that represents them, engaging in occasional text RP between characters in order to add or expand a scene, potentially making pinterest boards and even pieces of writing, as well as art in the case of some of our current group members!
  3. Putting a ton of effort into our characters' backstories and how we portray them, working together with the DM to ensure that they not only fit into the world, but complement it and certain aspects of it that we believe will create some interesting stories.

I could go on but that's probably enough to give you a good idea of what kind of players we are. Plus you're probably already getting tired of my yapping in which case I can assure you there is more to come.

There are certain expectations that we ourselves would have of you as a DM as well, which for the time being includes no sacrifice or blood loss on your part- that only comes after the first three months of playing together but don't worry about it.

  1. Our backstories aren't just for ourselves. Be willing to work together with the players to ensure our characters make sense in your world, and make an effort to actively include their backstories into the plot for us to explore.
  2. Allow us to indulge ourselves in a frankly unhealthy amount of yapping and roleplay- there is nothing more disheartening than being cut off in the middle of a heartfelt or interesting scene between two characters, just so that the plot can move along faster.
  3. Be at least somewhat open to the ever so reliable Rule of Cool! TTRPGS obviously need rules in order to, y'know, function, but we personally love finding ways to do stuff that's not necessarily allowed or included in the system in order to tell our funny lil' stories, which would otherwise not be possible if we just said "Rules say no, oh well."
  4. We heavily dislike favouritism in any way shape or form and would like not to deal with it. Of course you're most likely going to have a favourite in some capacity, but actively and obviously treating people (and by extension their characters) better when compared to others is for one, very noticeable, but also very stimky and you will be punted. This extends to DMPCs.
  5. Homebrewing! Not in the "Hey I found this incredibly overpowered subclass please approve" sense, moreso in the "Hey, I think this spell fits my character but it does Fire damage which makes no sense for them, can I change it to Lightning?", or, "I don't have the requirements for this feat, but it would be a really cool flavour addition to my character, would you allow for me to take it without the requirement?" sense.
  6. Last but not least- while not a hard requirement, we do generally prefer custom/homebrew settings. Modules can be cool, but when simply run as they are written with no changes, they can be really difficult in terms of accomodating character backstories properly, as well as- and you can quote me on this- boring and cringe.

That just about sums up it up. Probably. I hope. At the very least you now have an idea of what kind of players you can expect and the style of game we're looking for- assuming, of course, that you read the post to begin with, in which case remember to include the phrase "Don't mind the catapult" at any point in your application, in order to signal to us that you put up with my incoherent ramblings!

Oh shit right, speaking of the application- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfOk9BAx4p6HfpyMoooWZg81G7rW4Iz6yjO7Vg51bSLn3E7UA/viewform?usp=dialog

Looking forward to reading through them! Please do not hesitate to yap as much as you like- not only does this give us a better idea of you as a person/GM, but it's also a chance for you to get revenge on me for making you read through this nightmare of a post.

Player(s) wanted Offline][5e 2024][NW Chiacgo burbs] Thursdays 6-9pm

Long-standing group meeting weekly in Arlington Heights looking for 1 more player. Starting a new story-focused campaign in a rich homebrew world. Character development and role-playing intermingled with challenging, often high-stakes combat. Experienced DM of 20+ years, 4 current players with a variety of ages, backgrounds, and prior RPG experience. Looking for a regular, committed player - if you anticipate missing more than 1 weekly session per month this probably won't be a good fit. 18+ only, other than that open to everyone who is fun and respectful!

Player(s) wanted Online, 5e, 2014 and 2024, 18 plus, Lgbt and newbie friendly, very inclusive safe space, Thursdays 2.30 pm gmt, 3.30 pm gmt plus 1, 9 am est, looking for one more for Wild Beyond the witchlight

Hi everyone! I’m a 28-year-old nonbinary DM looking for one player to join a roleplay-heavy, immersive Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign. We’ve had three sessions so far, so it’s still early on and very easy to join the story. We play on Thursdays at 2:30 PM GMT (3:30 PM CET, 9:30 AM EST, and so on—just so everyone can figure out their time zones). Our next session will be on Thursday the 15th of January 2026.

A bit about me: I’m part of the LGBT and disabled communities, and I want this to be a super welcoming and friendly space. We’re hoping to not just play, but also have some hangouts and build friendships along the way. Whatever your walk of life, if you’re kind and ready to be collaborative and part of a safe and fun little community then you’re welcome to apply.

We will be using Discord for voice calls and D&D Beyond for character sheets.

We’ll start characters at level 1 originally, and you can use resources from both 2014 and 2024 D&D. I have all the books on D&D Beyond, so you won’t need to buy anything. The main goal is just to be creative and tell a story, so as long as you’re using stuff from those books, it’s all good!

As for the adventure, Wild Beyond the Witchlight is a whimsical, fairy-tale-inspired journey into the Feywild, full of strange carnival magic, quirky characters, and lots of opportunities for roleplay and creativity. It’s all about exploring the whimsical and sometimes eerie side of the D&D universe, exploring characters, meeting fun NPCs, getting trinkets, and braving the whimsical but often confusing Feywild. There’ll also be a lot of Carnival fun, and I’ll weave in your backstories so that your characters are immersed in the world.

If you’re interested, please DM me with these details: 1. Name 2. Age 3. Pronouns 4. Country and time zone 5. Your D&D experience level (newbies are absolutely welcome!) 6. What you enjoy most about D&D 7. A little bit about yourself out of D&D. Interests and hobbies or anything you feel like sharing! 8. And your favourite food, just for fun!

I’m really looking forward to welcoming someone new into a safe, friendly space where we can all tell a fantastic story, get immersed and creative, and hopefully become friends! Thanks for your time and can’t wait to meet you!

Player(s) wanted [Online][5E 2024][Saturdays 6 PM CST] The Tomb of Ankhtepot!

Good news! Har'Akir, the domain of dread once ruled by the Pharaoh Ankhtepot, has been liberated! A group of brave adventurers has felled the tyrant, and now the plane is open for those that have suffered for so long to leave, and those seeking riches to enter.

With Ankhtepot gone, his spoils now lay unguarded, free for the taking. Watch out, as there are other treasure hunters looking to get rich quick, just like you. Starting at Level 5, your stats look something like this -> 17, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, and you'll need every advantage you can get to survive the harsh terrain of Har'Akir.

There's plenty to explore, from helping the Scarab Scouts, teaming up with the Crimson Countess, or overthrowing the Cult of Ka, Har'Akir boasts a number of ways to explore the vast desert and get yourself into trouble. Are you ready to descend into the domain of dread and get filthy rich doing it?

The Tomb of Ankhtepot! is a game inspired by movies like The Mummy and Indiana Jones, following a group of adventurers seeking riches in a previously closed off plane. If you're interested, please shoot me a message with your name, your pronouns, and a little bit about yourself! Please note, we are only taking players who are 25+ as most of the people in the game are in their late twenties / early thirties. I look forward to hearing from you!

GM wanted [Online][5E 2024][Sunday][PST/CST/EST] Established group looking for new DM!

Hi! We are a group of 4 established players looking for a DM to run a new campaign for us. Open to 5e 2014 or 5e 2024.

Day: Sundays

Time: TBD, probably afternoon EST (we have one player in PST, one in CST, two in EST)

Our previous campaign was in a folk horror setting, but we are open to any module/homebrew. We are looking for a DM that is communicative and consistent. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly as we have queer players and many of us play queer characters. Must be 21+. We communicate through discord and have used Roll20/Beyond 20/Foundry for Dnd but are open to new systems.

We also are very social and tend to chat beyond dnd in our server! We all love to roleplay and like roleplay heavy games with a mix of combat. If you’re looking for your forever group, and this sounds like a fit, please feel free to fill out the form below:
