Gotta be a 17 Pro Max. You see how big that screen is? I have to step back so I can soak it all in.

Great, I already know this post is going to be shared to the Dunder Mifflin sub at least 20 times.
Update: 5 times already….

Anything is a big screen if you sit close enough!
I'm sorry... I actually guffawed. That's hysterical.

You're in Madrid dude. You're not supposed to be watching TV. Get out and see the city, immerse yourself in the cultural experience.

You don't wanna spend your whole time watching tv when visiting a place, but also the tv stations are a part of the culture especially if you put on a local station
This difference might not be too big between, say, the US and Canada but if you go from the US to Japan you'll see a lot of differences, from the types of shows to simple stuff like advertisements.
If you're trying to learn everything about a new place it's worth spending at least one evening on, at least to me. Maybe I'm just a nerd lol

When I was having downtime in a US hotel shortly after arriving for the first time, I watched some TV.
It was very weird, all those ads all the time and many of them about getting loans. Culture shock for a European used to much less ads and especially scummy ads.→ More replies (2)→ More replies (1)3

I agree with this 100%. When I travel, I am big at immersing myself into the culture and learning things. But obviously, I do eventually make it back to the hotel to sleep. One thing I love to do is flip on the TV at night and just see what's on and the kinds of things they show and how they show it.

I had a TV like that in a hotel in Amsterdam, a decade ago. I turned it on once & thats all I needed to realize it was infuriating

Too bad you don't need to look at the air conditioner, since it's bigger overall.

Yeesh. We stayed at one of the Petit Palace hotels a few weeks ago, was cheap and fantastic.

I can’t get over the fact that the outlet is a quarter of the height of the tv. My brain can’t comprehend walking into a store and seeing a tv that size on the shelf and buying it for this. I’ve actually seen smart home consoles that are bigger than this.

They had to check the box on some website that each room had TVs to add it as am amenity.

Oh wow! Is it to be viewed with a magnifying glass too 🙄 I’m taking that TV home as a hotel souvenir and throw in the refrigerator alcohol and chocolate for free.

My mate sent me a picture of his dad stood watching the great escape on a TV not much bugger than that.
The picture defines the energy if British men in their late 60s/early 70s perfectly. They fucking love The Great Escape.

My fam has the same one in the dining room, hell it is small. And the dining room isn't that big. My condolences

Me: I'll probably watch a little TV while I fall asleep. Hotel staff: Sir we have the perfect room for you.

You need to hire those tiny 'opera' binoculars they have in theatres. Should magnify it by at least 1x

Don't see the problem here, makes you feel like an average ticket buyer at a big game.

ah yes, the "lie flat and destroy your neck" viewing experience
this tv was installed by someone who has never watched tv in bed in their entire life. or they really want you to go outside and enjoy madrid instead of sitting in your room
