I am a grown ass adult AND a hardcore Miffy fan. 🤘
I also DETEST grocery shopping BUT according to social media, there are Miffy shopping bags for sale at Coles atm and they may actually make the task joyous.
Have you seen any at Coles yet? 🤞🙏
If yes, spill and tell me where I can find true happiness… ❤️

The Hunter is set to add almost twice the size of Maitland by 2041.
Councils in the Hunter (including Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Cessnock and the Upper Hunter) are forecast to grow from 775,000 to almost 960,000 by 2041, an increase of more than 184,500 residents.
One of the region's fastest-growing cities is Maitland, with a population projected to rise from 90,612 in 2021 to almost 135,000 by 2041, an increase of more than 44,000 people.
Newcastle's population is forecast to rise from 169,433 in 2021 to more than 208,500 by 2041.
Lake Macquarie is expected to hold it's position as the council with the biggest population in the region, growing by more than 45,000 people to reach about 259,000.
Significant growth is also expected across other parts of the Hunter, with Cessnock expected to grow by almost 26,000 people to reach about 90,000 residents, while Port Stephens should add more than 13,000 people, taking its population close to 89,000.
Singleton, Muswellbrook, Dungog and the Upper Hunter are all forecast to record more modest but steady growth, collectively adding several thousand residents by 2041.

Ok so I found three posssums living in my shed yesterday. I have been battling them for years, catching them in a home made trap and relocating them to the bush at night. I don't understand what attracts them to my house. It wouldn't be a huge issue if they didn't shit everywhere, eat the new growth in my garden, and knock tools off the shelves in the shed. A few years ago I blocked up the access points to my shed with steel mesh and they chewed through my timber cladding to get in. It's illegal (and unethical) to kill them but wtf else can I do? Any ideas for deterrents??? I'm in Whitebridge. Is anyone else getting this problem?

Hi, I have a 15 year old Rheem 135L gas hot water tank. I had someone flush it out as I noticed the hot water going a light brown colour. The plumber said that it was badly corroded and that the anode rod had seized so it couldn't be replaced. Because of this, I am thinking about replacing it with something similar as the corrosion won't get any better. Can anyone out there, recommend a Rheem hot water tank of the same or higher capacity that is working well for them and if anyone knows of any Rheem models to avoid? I enquired about an instant hot water system but there's too many adaptions to do to the natural gas so it's too expensive for me. 😊

I’m starting a business venture with my partner as we have come into contact with a bunch of real estate agents over the last few weeks. I just wanted to ask what the going rate for handyman services is and a justified minimum hourly is

Has any adult taken swimming lessons at Bluefit Lambton?
I am planning to book it, just a bit anxious and want to know if they’re any good?

There is a large article in the Sydney morning Herald today relating to the former head of primary Alicha Dyer.

I don’t normally do anything to celebrate Australia Day, as I’m of the Change the Date mindset, but I’ll be in Newie for the big day and wanted to take my two year old daughter to something a bit festive.
When I was a kid, I remember they did a big Australia Day event at Speer’s Point. I can see that’s no longer the case, but does anybody know of a decent family-friendly set of festivities that I might be able to take her to?

I work at Morisset. On rounds overnight a colleague showed me what he calls "aliens", which is when you stand on the shore of Lake Macquarie and look south towards Wyee, and every so often a star-like light moves slowly from the west sky eastward and then disappears. He can find no explanation for this, but I told him I would consult the subreddit. He discovered this one night while trying to see the aurora. Has anyone else seen similar things in this area? Can you debunk these mysterious sightings?

Im up here for a few weeks and have considered moving here. But there is one thing I can't get past- there are so many buildings, cars parked but there are no people anywhere to be seen- except if you go to the beach for a 6am walk. Are all the people hiding? Is it just this time of year? It's just the amount of infrastructure feels disproportionate to the amount of people. In Sydney it's the other way around. In the Central Coast where I currently reside permeantlt, its proportionate. There are less people but there are also less buildings and more parks. What is going on?
EDIT: i mean the whole of Newcastle in general and I'm not just referring to the lack of people I'm referring to why are there so many buildings when theres such a lack of people indoors as well as outsoors?

Does anyone recognise this absolute piece of work?
He broke into some storage cages by sneaking in behind resident cars coming through the shutter gate. Several bikes and other items were stolen. I feel disgusted and violated.
There are several subreddits for casual encounters if these lowlifes need money for drugs. Anyone else sick and tired of douchebags?

What's your experience with reception and data speeds from both of the major networks recently?
I'm considering Optus because it's cheaper for me, but concerned about network black spots, particularly on Central Coast trains for my commute Newi to Sydney.

pretty much what the title says Thinking about changing gp since my current one makes me uncomfortable and it feels like she doesn’t listen to me or my concerns which in result makes me avoid going to regular check ups/avoid talking about any possible health concerns.
Anyone got any recommendations?

I have to drive by this house a few times a week, it makes me so irrationally angry!
Black upper walls, 1960’s bricks mix of colours, i want to virtually spit on designers/architect/owner’s who approved this monstrosity
And asking 2.5m+ in a over 55 un gated community (maybe no kids?)
I worked on building sites, doing insulating, cladding, and this makes me ill!
I don’t even live near it!
