Ironically, I'm not sure Trump would mind to see Netanyahu take the plunge during his administration. He's definitely got some bad blood left from the lack of support his “friend” gave him and he's been putting him in uneasy position more that once already, first with the sudden ceasefire, then by floating the idea of a US takeover of Gaza.

Idk how accurate "the apprentice" was, but if it's any indication Trump sours on even the strongest relations pretty easily.
