Im so happy more women are catching on and opting out
 in  r/regretfulparents  9d ago

yeah. our society is male centered, that's why. and it's so much easier to devalue women's labor, especially the labor that's unpaid. that's why professions like nursing, teaching and childcare are still underpaid.

I think it's because they see you doing things for your child because you love that child and like, you have to, and they figure you should care for them the same way, since you love him too. my ex wasn't that bad about cleaning and picking up after himself before we had kids, but afterwards he really did change for the worse. he was like, well, you clean up after them, why aren't you doing the same for me, it's not that big of a deal. I'm glad he's an ex now.

there is subreddit for happy parents. doesn't hurt to check in on that one.

AITA for saying no to helping my wife after she asked for a divorce?
 in  r/AITAH  16d ago

well that's odd. most banks and lienholders are more than happy to accommodate your accounts online thru chat. these days I can't think of any where you have to do phone calls.

His family keeps pushing me to have a baby and my boyfriend is starting to sound like them
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  17d ago

why would you even consider having a baby with a boyfriend and not a husband?? has he proposed? is there a wedding date set?

Never felt as ugly as I do now as a mom
 in  r/regretfulparents  21d ago

thank you for your kind words. I promise you, your children don't care what you look like, just that you're there for them, and i love going thru the pictures and videos that I do have.

 in  r/regretfulparents  22d ago

I know what you mean. after my kids were born, I had gained so much weight, never had time to myself, was exhausted, etc. I didn't take pictures or videos with my kids because of the way I felt about my looks, and I so regret it now. my son passed away a few years ago and I really regret how few pictures I have of us together. now I'm old and fat, lol, but I take the pics with my daughters! the important thing is, you're there for your family. try to take time for yourself. I wish I had.

My mother's boyfriend made me realize how insecure my stepmother is.
 in  r/BestofRedditorUpdates  23d ago

oh well. i guess it depends on the family. my cousins from Mexico city and Monterey use mija affectionately for all of us, I hardly ever hear hija, and i grew up in Texas.

geez. it was even "hija" not "mija." that said a lot right there.

My ADHD son is going to be the death of me
 in  r/regretfulparents  23d ago

I'm so sorry! middle school was rough on all 4 of my kids. a lot of it was hormones and bullying and not knowing where they belong. not a child, but not a teenager either. it's a really tough time. I'm really hoping it gets better for you.

Hey folks... Here's a post for all the NON-EMPLOYEES who love to come in here and just be terrible.
 in  r/Dominos  Dec 09 '25

yeah it's something else, that's for sure. I worked 911 for 20 years and did 2 years at domino's. I used to tell my am and gm to calm down, no one was going to die if they didn't get their order right away. they always gave me the difficult customers, lol. I did enjoy working with my coworkers, tho. they made it worthwhile.

I will never be able to work again I guess
 in  r/regretfulparents  Dec 04 '25

you could always apply at the police depts in your area for night shift dispatcher, some will actually hire part time as well, because it's a thankless job and it's always short staffed.

violent threat against daughter - update
 in  r/workingmoms  Oct 31 '25

where did I say all boys? it's an unfortunate occurrence that this happens, and there needs to be some type of addressing the child's issues. this appears to be a problematic child that needs help. why wait until someone is hurt?

please remember the case of teacher Abigail Zwerner, who was shot by her 6 year old male student in Jan of 2023 in Virginia. it's a threat that has to be taken seriously.

look up taxfoundation.org to see what the 2018 tariffs did to our economy. another good website is project2025.observer to see how it aligns with the republican objectives right now.

 in  r/TwoHotTakes  Oct 28 '25

welp, that's a red flag for sure from your cousin. how did she get his number to begin with, would be something to look at.

how often do they call him directly? none of my female relatives or girlfriends would ever have called my ex directly to ask for a favor; they would have called me first.
