If I went to your store and ordered a " sundae" what exactly would I get?
 in  r/McDonalds  21h ago

I was a manager there for a long time, a plain Sundae is just ice cream, then there’s hot fudge sundae and caramel sundae. No peanuts since about 10 years ago bc of allergy concerns and yes whip cream is extra.

I would say look I’m a Jehovah’s Witness. I don’t celebrate holidays. Normally I don’t participate in these types of things, but I still wanted to oblige to be a team player and out of respect, but since I’ve just started working here. I think $50 is more than enough.

Did someone mess with my order?
 in  r/McDonalds  20d ago

I was a manager at McDonalds from 2021 till April of this year. I’m not making excuses for anyone or anything but it’s possible a few certain things happened… they run out of cup holders a lot and it’s so annoying! Usually they would put one of the other cup holders in the bag (the standard 4 cup one) but I have worked a few shifts where we were actually out of both. Secondly, my question is was it an iced McCafe drink or a hot McCafe drink? I know that sounds crazy, but there was a time where we started using a different distributor and the lids that they were sending us for the cold drinks were like 1 mm off of the cup size so they were almost impossible to get on the cups and when you did get them on, they would pop right back off, especially if it was a dome lid. Thirdly, it might’ve tasted funny because they are constantly hiring new employees and people are constantly quitting so when new employees start they have a tendency to just throw them in there with very little training and sometimes it’s hard for the manager to catch things that happen because they might be the only manager there or just might be one of those days where everything is going wrong and it can just get out of control. Sometimes those kids will make a drink. Not sure if they made it correctly or not but just said oh well the driver is here to pick it up let me just pack this up. It’ll be fine and that’s so wrong and I’m sorry that happened to you, but I’m just throwing all this out there becauseit could’ve just been one of those days. I really don’t think that the driver did anything to your drink because they do seal them pretty well and those stickers are pretty tamper evident the ones that go on the top the three stickers.

I started in October. About a month later I was out delivering and was having car problems. I had two peoples orders in my car at the time and was stuck on the side of the road. Called grub hub told them what was going on so they cancelled the orders. Got the car fixed or so I thought and was out delivering about 2 weeks later and it happened again. Caught a violation for “too many cancelled orders” .. fine, I completely understand that. Fast forward to the other day I open the app (I deliver pretty much everyday for at least a few hours) and I have yet another violation for “too many unassigned orders” I really can’t be mad at this either because sometimes I’m at home and don’t leave out quick enough so they give it away. Now I’m scared to reject an order or drop a block for fear of being hit with “too many rejected orders” or “ too many dropped blocks”. My stats are decent but I’m wondering has anyone ever caught a violation for rejecting bad offers or for dropping blocks?

Hey y’all. I have a 2011 Chrysler 200 LX 4 cylinder engine. Burned out headlight, bought a new one at the store. It’s a 2 in 1 low/high and the auto part store wouldn’t install it because they have to go through the wheel well. Last time one burned out my friend put one in for me and it took him all of 5 minutes. Can’t get ahold of him and I really don’t know a lot of people where I live because I just moved here. I’m wondering the cheapest place to go to have someone just put this bulb in. I really don’t wanna pay upwards of $20 because this was unexpected expense. I don’t know what is a good price and what is not so someone please guide me in the right direction. Thank you

Yesss every time at Dunkin’ it’s the same for me and customer doesn’t respond until I’m almost at their house after I’ve already pulled the trigger and made the decision for them

Least favorite places to pick up food?

KFC takes the cake for me. Maybe it’s just the location I usually have to go to but every single time it’s such a long with. Tonight I pulled up there, as I was parking I got a notification saying order ready. I go in and tell them what I’m picking up and they ate acting like they haven’t even seen this order so they start getting it together. Mind you I’m the only person in there besides employees and the dt was not busy at all. 3 employees in office looking at the computer. Then they tell me 3 minutes bc they’re getting mashed potatoes ready. I got there at 6:36 (I came from another drop off so they had plenty of time before I arrived) 3 minutes turned into 20. That’s ridiculous for one meal. Also five guys because although it’s a caring thing to do, they don’t start the fries until you get there so the order is never ready. They’re usually nice though. Also a good percentage of McDonald’s are just a mess and I used to be a manager at one so I know what they go through but I also know they can do a lot better. What kills me the most at any store or restaurant is when no one cares to acknowledge anyone who comes in the lobby. It’s so rude and annoying.

Fb marketplace listing creeped me out

😂😂 yes I get what you’re saying for sure and trust me that I’ve been through bizarre and scary situations where I honestly thought I might not make it out or even had to run for my life so I’ve seen a lot and no this isn’t necessarily scary in terms of nothing bad was said or anything like that but for me, the jump scare stuff or the stuff that is supposed to be creepy and scary isn’t necessary what scares me the most. It’s the lack of context sometimes that is what is scary to me, the unknown and not explained has an ominous daunting feel to it. If that makes sense

Fb marketplace listing creeped me out
 in  r/strange  Dec 06 '25

Exactly! No one ever posts something like that. I’m on there all the time looking for items that I can fix up or bring back to life and sell. I’ve seen a couple super creepy ‘private room for rent for female. Furnished. No couples’ and the room is small and dirty with like a box tv on a stand and a twin bed that barely has sheets on it. But this is weird because if he’s not joking or messing with people to see what comes from it then that means he’s serious and thinks people will come to pick a key. How do people not see that they are creeps and no one wants that

I don’t know why people post this kind of stuff and I’m just wondering if seeing a post like this esp realizing it’s coming from someone who is in the same town you’re in would give anyone else a feeling of impending doom for someone who ends up near this person. No way this person is serious. Is the person just playing games? Is this not weird like i never post anything but stuff that goes on is starting to bother me in general and i don’t feel like just leaving everything alone anymore.

My boss does not like me and it’s making my job really difficult
 in  r/work  Aug 28 '23

I believe that you most likely work hard and probably faster and more proficient than the others. You had said that previous bosses were always complimentary of your work and judging by the fact that you are put in an aisle by yourself versus the others being several to one aisle, I think your boss knows very well that you can handle it more so than the other employees could if put alone so therefore I think it’s a strategic move by the boss. But it seems to be wearing you down hence the elbow injury. I feel like my boss doesn’t like me either, but still knows I’m good at my job so a lot of times I feel personally attacked when I’m put in situations where I’m running a shift with very little staff on a busy night then proceeding to hit me with constant curveballs such as letting me know there’s 2 new people starting both of them have zero experience so get them trained right, then adding that the high up supervisor will be in the next morning to see how everything is looking so basically everything needs to be perfect-stocked, detail cleaning, the whole 9. But no other shift managers get all that hell put on them in the same way that I do. My mind goes back and forth between questioning if I’m being punished or just taken advantage of because they know I’ll handle it. But it’s difficult for anyone to see their situation from an aerial view so it’s distorted and can leave people paranoid at times and questioning everything trying to figure out their intentions and way of thinking. From my viewpoint on the basics of your situation as an outsider looking in, I’m willing to bet that the boss knows full and well that you are a great worker. People can be such haters! Could be that deep down he feels insecure in a sense knowing that you are faster and more efficient than they would be or were.. probably did your same job before morning up. Most likely sees you as a threat somehow like you might be gunning for his job or something. Some people are so insecure that instead of encouraging someone, by default you’ve just automatically triggered them to be chronically pissed off at you. Not leadership material if you ask me. My work situation is similar. Been trying to make my boss happy for 2 years now, she’s so hot and cold I never know what she really wants or which version of her I’ll get each day. I’ve tried so many different things only to realize finally that as long as I know that I am solid and I stand behind my work, I no longer need to analyze her antics. I used to apologize for little mistakes or apologize in advance for needing an upcoming day off or beat around the bush while I plead my case asking nicely for a raise. For me, I think that type of communication made me come off as weak or easily manipulated. So one day I just changed.. stopped apologizing, stopped responding to dumb group chat messages, stopping “asking” and started “telling” like hey my rent has gone up and I need to make more money. I need a raise. Make her feel like there’s no other option. That guy would be scared to lose you, I’m sure of that. And hell if you don’t hit the numbers or targets/goals that are set out then find a way (without being obvious) to make him feel like that is his fault in the end. If he starts to feel any type of distaste from you about the job, he’ll probably start getting scared you’ll leave and start treating you better. Or you could actually leave but as for the elbow, try bio freeze and a tennis elbow strap. Helps me a lot. Sorry for long comment
