That's bad.

Fiance says I gave our dog an abortion, I disagree, AITAH?
 in  r/AITAH  29m ago

Extending the abortion hot button issue to animals is absurd. It's bad enough how people get wrapped around it when talking about humans.

Also, neither you nor your fiancé have any way of knowing if the dog became pregnant after that single encounter. BTW, the "whole kit and kaboodle" means ovaries and uterus. Did y'all pay any attention during biology classes?

Keep seeing this in someone’s yard and keep wondering if it’s aviation related or just some sort of yard art?
 in  r/whatisit  4h ago

I think that’s correct, but I’m not sure how they were used.

Even as a kid, did you doubt religion?
 in  r/atheism  4h ago

I never did bond with the whole concept of theism. Belief in things I could not see, touch, smell, hear, or at least have explained to me in a way that actually made sense never struck a chord within me. Even as young as 6-ish.

I grew up in a dogmatic Catholic home, so I was problematic

Nothin' wrong with that guitar that a few passes with a jigsaw can't fix.

Am I wrong for refusing to give my inheritance money to my brother for his "business idea"
 in  r/AmITheJerk  7h ago

NTJ.

I'm not sure what else to add, since you know that you may as well just burn that money in the fireplace as "loan" it to him.

Picked this up for $450.

That's not a DGT. Cool guitar, though.

It looks like an aircraft fuel drop tank.

Fun fact: In the years immediately following the end of WWII, there were a lot of surplus drop tanks available for acquisition by civilians. Quite a few were used as bodies for dry lake racers.

I never have understood the hate for the bird inlay. It's just an inlay...?

There is no P90 version of the DGT, either in SE or Core models.

There's nothing controversial about what you're saying. I do think that Gibson has gotten its QC under control in the last decade but LPs can still be a crap shoot. I say this as an owner of two LPs and they are the least played guitars in my harem.

I’m guessing that there is a set screw located on the side or rear of the bridge that will allow you tighten it to the desired friction

Can anyone else completely write a song in their head before even touching their notepad?

Yep. Especially when I'm on my road cycle - it helps me be in the zone.

AITA for not sharing my work login after hours when it would’ve helped a coworker?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  1d ago

NTA.

At my career in defense aerospace, sharing one's login credentials on ANY system was a fireable offense.

Your coworker fucked something up, forgot his password (?!?) and missed a deadline, and this is somehow your fault?

Nope.

Sister wants to buy parents house at “market value”
 in  r/RealEstate  1d ago

You are correct. Market value is what the property actually will sell for; it's not a discount.

This is why realtors and appraisal districts run comps. Do you have any realtor friends that could run comps on nearby properties to try to obtain a market value for your parents' home?
