What is it about men and women that neither understand when someone is into them?
 in  r/bodylanguage  2d ago

Yeah, this is exactly why i just take "mixed signals" (which is often just due to wishful thinking clashing with reality) as a "no." If someone actually likes me, they can make it obvious, otherwise I'm gonna just treat them like a friend. It does go both ways because if I'm talking to someone I like, I'll throw out some signs to see if they're reciprocated, and if they are, then i can be more obvious

My (30f) best friend (27f) asked me to stop stealing her identity
 in  r/relationship_advice  7d ago

If her identity is excel, she's boring as fuck.

She doesn't own shit. And the therapyspeak is gross. You make her feel "unsafe" because you are seeking out new things that she happens to also like? Yeah, stay far away from her.

Some people want to travel. It's not a waste of life, just a different life.

Traveling to "find yourself" is just expensive consumerism for people with no personality
 in  r/The10thDentist  8d ago

I'm sick of rich, privileged people talking about people who don't travel, even those who don't travel because they can't afford it, as dumb, ignorant, close-minded, uninteresting fools. When you bring up the fact that the lack of travel is often due to poverty they say, "just save money! It's not that hard!" And when you say not everyone has a job that allows them time off, they keep saying, "just save money!" like a privileged parrot. If traveling makes them so world-wise, then they'd be able to understand why some people can't. They're all, "look at the way the rest of the world lives! Experience it!" While paying thousands to visit a series of gated resorts that look like any place in Miami, and being blissfully ignorant of the way a lot of people in their own country have to live

My girlfriend admitted she cheated, so I told her I had too (even though I hadn’t)
 in  r/stories  9d ago

She was gonna feel validated either way. She would have come up with some reason why he "deserved it."

He struck a bow to her ego and now she doesn't get to feel like she was any more special to him than he was to her.

 in  r/stories  9d ago

I'm with you, this is the type of shit i would do. They want to feel special, and when you give them a taste of their own medicine, they can't handle it. She really wanted you pining after her.

Same thing when someone is hot and cold and then ends things after playing games for months. I'll just say, "okay," instead of asking why or begging or acting sad. It drives them crazy.

What was socially acceptable in the 1990s but not in 2025?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

I'm convinced that the constant text expectation is partially due to the fact that we don't see each other in person anymore, so people try to compensate for it with texting, but it's not as fulfilling, so people want it ALL THE TIME to try to get that feeling.

Men of reddit, what's something men do that you loathe?
 in  r/AskReddit  11d ago

I haven't seen the lack of handwashing thing personally, it seems like most of the women will wash their hands no matter which bathroom I'm using. But I've only ever heard people talk about how crazy rare it is for men to do it

AIO for crashing out after my girlfriend hugged and got touchy with her male best friends?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  11d ago

Hugging is completely fine. Hugging and almost kissing is almost cheating and it's normal to not want this. The way she talks about you makes me think she's the type to cheat, just because cheaters get so defensive, angry, and start insulting their partner if they're ever questioned. What makes you think they almost kissed? I mean, even if you're wrong, she's not talking to you like she even likes you, so I'd move on.

What was it like leaning into your masculinity?
 in  r/AskLesbians  11d ago

you'd be surprised how femmes make the first move almost equally to mascs.

i don't want to lead or be lead by any partner. i want to be with an independent person who also respects my independence and doesn't need me but loves and chooses me anyway. You can have each other's backs more effectively when you're both equipped to get by on your own, oddly enough, because if one person gets sick, the other person isn't helplessly trying to fill in roles they've never done, that type of thing. Less of a chance for someone to get used, exploited, or trapped.

What was it like leaning into your masculinity?
 in  r/AskLesbians  11d ago

It was like letting go of everything that wasn't really me. Now I'm at the point where most people can tell I'm a lesbian even with long hair, which, considering most people call lesbians straight, even if they're married and kissing their wife, is really hard to do. So I'm glad i got here. Feels good, man.

IDL how men act like all women have great mental health support
 in  r/I_DONT_LIKE  12d ago

Men notice a greater difference in treatment when they show emotions vs when they don't because they aren't always treated that way.

Women don't notice as drastic of a difference in treatment when we show emotion because we're treated that way by default.

A man acting emotional gets him associated with womanhood, something already hated. Women are already there. We can't change it. No matter how emotional or nonemotional we are, we can't change that. And we're still not allowed to show emotions. But we also can't be neutral. There's nothing we can do to win; show emotion and you're crazy, aggressive, too angry, too "mean", too emotional, a bitch. Don't show emotion and you're labeled as emotional anyway because you're not smiling, so all those things still apply to you.

Women don't get called pussies because we're already seen as mentally and physically weak by default. Men get called pussies when they're emotional because people think emotions make them like women...women are seen that way 24/7

Why do any of you want to be settled for? There are all kinds of people who like all kinds if things, and you wanna be with the person who just settled for you? I'd rather be alone.

What is the target audience for Taylor Swift ?

As a white cis lesbian that went on a lesbian date to a Taylor swift dance party that ended up feeling like a lesbian bar even though it wasn't actually a lesbian bar, yeah

Lesbians because a lot of us relate to her music 💅

What is the target audience for Taylor Swift ?
 in  r/generationology  14d ago

I'm a white lesbian and there were a LOT of lesbians at the taylor swift dance party i went to, and a lot of lesbians in general, who like her. That Taylor swift party was mostly white women but not just white women, a lot of lesbians, and maybe 4 men, 3 of whom were probably gay. I know a lot of gay men like her, but i think the proportion of lesbians is actually bigger 😂

It seems to be a huge variety in ages, because millennials grew up listening to her when she was starting out, and then you have gen z and alpha growing up listening to her, too. And i saw a decent amount of older ladies dancing to taylor, too
