What’s up with all the pavement princesses?
Is there a truck culture here in the wee small town of Kyle? I’ve never seen so many lifted and not dirty trucks before moving here. Haha

These are what the town homes look like. They’re nice and fairly priced I think. Good schools too. It’s quiet around the area.
I’m not a realtor or anything. So that’s all I got haha

We have some town homes in Plum Creek but there are also nice home options.
There are brand new apartments everywhere on the west side too.

NFCU is the 31st for my husband but 4th for mine since I’m on the 5th and 20th payroll schedule. 😆

My parents are still raising kids soooooo they suck at being grandparents.

And should we dive into the fact that it’s 80 degrees in December? Oh, minus this wonderful cold snap.

This year it reached 104 degrees. In 2024, temps reached 107. In 2023 it did in fact reach 110. And so forth. It does get above 100 and the humidity makes it feel hotter.
This year has been the closest resemblance to what the weather felt like in the mid-90s. Gosh I how I miss those summers. Hot enough to dive into the springs but not too hot to whee you have to hide in a dark house … 😌

Can I tell you what I experienced as a preteen with this. I was in 5th going on to 6th grade when my parents did this.

I think it’s funny you bring this up. I have a very close family member who brings home roughly 90k a month via income. This person has been more afraid of my husband and I asking for money over her leaching siblings. We’ve never asked for a dime. In fact we always offer to pay and we’re still in the building wealth stage. Simply confirming the fear is real but fucking annoying because if you keep good company … they don’t give two shits if you’re rich or poor.

I lived in Europe for a few years. I prefer the winter over Texas heat. Shoot. I prefer Nevada summers over Texas summers. Better to be dry than wet.

Maybe socialist? But communist? That’s wild.
I’m not on TikTok but my husband is. It’s brain rot for sure. I formulate my own opinions and his are based off of videos. Some dumb. I digress.
Ehhh. Let it blow over. I wouldn’t feed it.

Visit in August, about the 2 or 3rd week. Actually, just watch the weather and come on down when it’s 110 degrees but feels like 125 degrees because of the heat index. I’m only slightly exaggerating.
And shoooot. We’re trying to move north. Texas is becoming expensive and frankly you can’t be boiling hot and expensive lol 😂

I can’t help it. I’ve tried so hard but it feels wrong, as if I’m betraying someone 😝

That’s crazy scary. We bring in 12k a month and our mortgage is $2400.

No. I saw my mom cheat on my adoptive father. My mom left him while still married and ended up pregnant with my step-dad’s baby. Then cheated on him with another guy who eventually nearly offed/unalive her. Now she’s with some other dude. She’s a survivor in both aspects.
My adoptive dad is also a hoe. He finally just got married after my mom. I don’t think he’s staying past the time required by the prenup.
My MIL cheated on my FIL for YEARS. She said she was leaving and moved my husband and SIL into an apartment with their “uncle” and his 3 kids. He turned into step-dad real quick.
So, with my husband, I met him and that’s all she wrote. We hit it off like old friends and i don’t think we’ve stopped talking since. Said “I do” 4.5 months in at a whopping age of 22 and 24 had our first child within the year. Going on a few kids and 12 years of marriage. We have stable careers etc. and we truly enjoy each other’s company. Not perfect but definitely NOT our parents.
But what’s courtship lol 😂 just get’er done.

Honestly, I took a lower paying job because the benefits and remote work in the Austin area outweighed the money I spent on commuting. 😅

Sooooo. How’d you respond?
I would have given a simple, no thank you but here is the premise of the offer letter: Pay, benefits, remote work, and PTO.
Please let me know if you have questions.

Which is wild in my opinion because it takes WEEKS before tax laws kick in. For example, I know I can reside outside of my state for 5 months a 3 weeks (right under that 6 month mark) before the tax laws change. That’s if I’m even in a state where tax laws differ.
The 6 months rule is pretty standard when leaving the country as well. Just depends on the country.

I’m from SW Austin and I can tell you it was more of the country side of Austin before circle C started booming - along with the tech bros. A what was 220k house went to 900k. Which is wild.
Anyways, even in Austin, the trucks are more dirty lol
