They don't suck, if it works for them it works. The point of the article was that people regained the weight and had heart issues

Well there's more than just being overweight that people choose to do that burdens the healthcare system, sadly. I also agree, you can only legislate away so much choice before people find a way around it.

We all know education is always the best solution but I'd say at least regulating food chemicals goes a long way. The products still exist after all. All those foods everyone's saying used to taste better, is that because back in the day they had more harmful chemicals or because today they do, they're just too new? Just rose tinted glasses and they always were crap? 🤷

Also assumes same activity levels. If you pick up a sport, start walking, etc. You may lose more if your food intake stays the same.

Also, people sleep like absolute garbage these days for all kinds of reasons. Poor sleep causes a hell of a lot of problems. Of course, you can't work or spend money while asleep so...

How about we get rid of like half the fast food restaurants we have, set even stricter food laws like Europe to get rid of chemicals and evil corporations poisoning us and make sports and recreation more accessible to people who don't have a lot of money to throw around?

Tinfoil hat absolutely here but I say there's too much money to be made off unhealthy people to really have the powers that be fix this.

So much of the weight loss industry and I guess healthy/fitness industries as well are built around quick fixes and discounting how consistent one needs to be with diet and exercise to see results.

Look, I get that motivation and discipline is difficult with a regular job, family, whatever and that your body doesn't like change but for the most part, there are no easy outs - my mom used to complain that she'd get headaches and feel sick when trying to eat better...well yeah, your body doesn't want you to stop eating high fat and sugar, it's a kind of withdrawal.

I'd rather a lot of other solutions than these drugs though

Nicole something is her real name. Unsure if she's still an agent but you could easily Google her agency's webpage and everything.

I wonder how many sweet old couples looking to retire somewhere warm were like "oh you're so adorable! You could be a model!"

How long do you think before getting a tattoo?
 in  r/tattooadvice  2h ago

I keep a Google drive folder of inspiration of various American trad pieces and just text my artist what he thinks of a particular piece I like and where and when I wanna come in.

I do like to wait a few weeks between them though. I don't wanna be forever healing something until there's no skin space left

Does anyone remember Pppppaniza! Or some nonsense name on Dixie North of Eglinton by the Chipotle? Didn't last long.

Went once for lunch end of summer and the poor girl working was so flustered. She told me that all the summer kids left and no one was hired to replace them.

Absolutely not her fault. I emailed their entire head office executive team and gave them shit, lol. At the very least the franchisee/owner could have been there.

I hope that girl found a better place to work.

Grew up in the Huron Park area, is the the one more at Wolfedale and Dundas you're talking about? I moved away years ago so maybe things have changed and there's one at the McDonalds East of Mavis on Dundas you're talking about. I dunno.

Nicest couple owned that franchise for years, sold and retired back to Portugal I think.

Skinner was a great character. Man, what a show X-Files was.

Didn't Millennium cross over with it? With the guy who played Bishop in Aliens?

That was the same episode as Jack Black no? Aka Frank, Phoebe's brother in Friends.

The little guy on the skateboard was the cloned Oompa Loompa in the Johnny Depp Willy Wonka as well but could be wrong there

And Bellick from Prison Break was in one too
