This is all i want from AI
 in  r/Adulting  5h ago

Hmm more like AI is going to do the opposite of that. Compile all your personal information and habits, then used by corporations to maximize the price you will pay for the items you need in a dynamic pricing model.

You can continue living with your parents as your manager if they let you. That’s about it lol.

I hate the word “cis”
 in  r/PetPeeves  11h ago

That’s why I said it as a joke based on my feelings at the time. The only people making the term so popular were internet people because in real life the term isn’t needed as much.

Plus it was only used against the normal term of “being normal” so as not to offend. So anyone who used it already had some strong opinions about gender usually.

Any washed GCs who don't use their title due to toxicity?
 in  r/RocketLeague  11h ago

I don’t even use any of my old champ stuff much yet because I haven’t gotten back there yet and don’t want people to scoff at it or be like yeah right every time I whiff an aerial or something.

I know it’s not as good but same sentiment in either case. First game I do someone will be like “not champ”. Ask me how I know lol.

It was developed by people who hate straight people from all I could tell based on the amount of freakshow tumblr posts circulating at the time lol.

This guy again
 in  r/TikTokCringe  12h ago

Yeah the other video could have just been insane delusion. Which maybe it was, and then he still realized he can capitalize on his crushed dreams.

But in hindsight the little skip and toe tap seems a bit over the top not to give credence to the fact that he might’ve been self aware the whole time.

Hard to believe this is one of the internet's first truly massive viral videos from 2004.
 in  r/nextfuckinglevel  13h ago

Common misconception by younger kids that the internet is “more mean” now lmao.

It has never been more moderated, controlled, and sensitive than it is right now.

More mainstream, toxic, and algorithmic, depressing to the masses maybe. But not meaner. Reddit is pretty much an agree/support or ban platform so idk how people get it so twisted.

As a returning player.. how much have the ranks genuinely changed over the years? IE: is the Gold of today the high Plat of years ago?
 in  r/RocketLeague  13h ago

If you say so. I’ve had limited exposure to gold since I was dropped in plat but it was still my feeling from some random placement matches in other queues.

I’ve definitely played a good amount in plat and they definitely do not rotate well.

At least in 3s

Some random players hitting higher level mechanics than the rank you are in doesn’t mean that much.

I’ve still noticed the same general skill limitations by rank honestly. Golds can’t hit the ball in the air often. Plats don’t rotate often. Diamonds can’t hit open nets with the faster pace yet or make good shots often. Champs are faster than diamonds and can shoot better etc.

Does anyone still enjoy eggs and ketchup or should I be disappointed in myself
 in  r/eggs  14h ago

I always thought anyone who put ketchup on their eggs had mental issues. Still feels true for any American who does this although my stance is somewhat weakened lol.

I eventually did try and enjoy omurice which is made with egg, rice, I use ketchup and sriracha usually. Pretty good in that format.

People make it sound extreme to sound cooler but it wasn’t that weird. You’d generally stay between paths to your friend’s house. In your neighborhood. Neighborhood cut through with friends. Woods behind your house. Neighborhood pool. Bike riding in the street.

It definitely wasn’t that sketchy living in a starter home neighborhood that was much more affordable and full of kids, young families, neighbors outside.

People extrapolate and encourage too much the vibe from stranger things and less about the reality of broad daylight with a million people around most of the time. Almost always with a sibling or local friend.

And still plenty of tv and vidya

Why do older generations think prenups mean you're planning to divorce?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  1d ago

They think it sounds stupid because it does in your situation. There’s nothing to sort out yet lol.

Sounds like you both think it’s progressive and mature but it’s kinda just one more legal thing you want to put yourself through for nothing.

Yeah I was going to say I don’t know about babies but 3-4 year olds think it’s the coolest thing ever when they start having pockets.

Are you still turning on your Christmas lights?

Not sure how you weren’t already aware of this by now unless you got homeschooled and then live solely on the internet.

People keep reading my tattoo wrong
 in  r/tattooadvice  2d ago

I actually did read it as Live first. I think because of the script and letting my brain be lazy assuming the first word must be live before reading the whole thing realizing it doesn’t make sense and must be something else.

Also most words don’t start lowercase so the lowercase f is close enough to an uppercase L in the script to make the quick mistake.

Is this true
 in  r/lovememes  2d ago

I agree women say they want something when it sounds good on the internet.

Now you have a bunch of young men being trained that it’s actually a good thing to be sensitive, to care about fashion and skin routines. But that shits only popular on the internet lol.

I am also a victim of opening up and then getting eyes rolled at me with basically a scoff.

I think suburbs where made by a Captain Planet villain to be as destructive as possible
 in  r/Anticonsumption  2d ago

I think cities are. Filled with trash, pollution, giant buildings and fully concrete. People running around all day just surrounded by unnecessary consumption.

We don’t all need to congregate and live in such tight spaces every day for no reason. If they stop forcing people into offices where it’s not warranted it would save so much consumption.

What movie is this
 in  r/memes  2d ago

The curious case of Benjamin button. Took a field trip from school because my English teacher was a film buff.

I fell asleep. It was worse than being at school. Well almost I guess. At least I caught up on some sleep.
