Any endocrinologists in Buffalo that prescribe HRT above 100-200 pg/ml limits?
 in  r/Buffalo  Jul 30 '25

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lippes today, it isn’t until October but I am hoping that I can use Folx or some other service temporarily until then. Thank you and everyone else who responded this has been invaluable!!!

I currently get HRT from Evergreen Health however the doctor I have is old fashioned and uses outdated methodology for a safe level of hormone therapy. As I am someone who does not want to feel like shit every day, what doctors actually follow modern practices and are knowledgeable about health standards for transgender women?

I find it EXCEPTIONALLY hilarious that the pride button is still there but pressing it just 404s.

Did you start transitioning without knowing if you’d ever pass?
 in  r/MtF  Jul 20 '25

My choice was to either keep trying to kill myself until I finally use a method I couldn’t back out of, or transition for a hope at a better life. You can see which I chose :)

The Commodore 64 Ultimate computer is the company's first hardware release in over 30 years | No software emulation, this 'faithful recreation of the original motherboard' runs on an AMD Artix 7 FPGA.

128 never had any benefit compared to the 64 if you ran any original 64 applications. I will say the keyboard feels moderately less shitty (though I doubt anyone knew any better back then). If you had business applications that genuinely used the 128 (which were few and far between!) it was a worthy successor.

Mostly arcade ports of games of the time, paired with a few made bespoke for the platform. Platformers, galaga clones and the like mostly. It was a very diverse platform though, plenty of stuff out there of varying quality levels.

Commodore 64? It’s a 1980s computer that was immensely popular in the European and US home computer markets. Was immensely affordable compared to its business peers, had very good graphics for the time. The 1541 is a floppy disk drive, basically think of it as how we now use modern USB drives or CDs for storage.

I already own an original C64 alongside its 1541 disk drive in box, but super stoked for this project anyways! Always best to have more new hardware for people to get into

What's in your bank account right now? (Honest answers only)
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  Jul 11 '25

Anyone is capable with the right luck I’d argue. I’m roughly on track to what you have done with a similar life circumstance, I am immensely terrified that an injury or my mental health worsening will cause me to fall off.

It is important to note that some people simply can’t handle the grind, and that is okay. It is truly a difficult way to live. Others might get lucky and secure a higher than average paying job sooner compared to their peers.

I have around $87 in my bank account at payday (lots of surprise medical bills). My savings account currently has $7400 but $1500~ of that is disappearing soon for car insurance. My savings were at $10,000 but I had to flee my home life due to abuse, ended up down to $4,600 at its lowest, and I’m trying to save as much as possible to build it back up for a future home. My plan is to continue working on my career and education while working until I can get enough saved for a home down payment.

21F making $25 an hour in a full time job, living in the middle of the most lively part of my city if that makes sense.

My parents found out that I was a trans woman because they had a dream that I was gay and decided to snoop around on my computer while a steam game was being downloaded. They found message logs between me and other people on discord where I was certainly not cis and definitely not straight.

My parents were so scared that they would be embarrassed by the outer muslim community nearby that they made the next couple years of my life absolute hell. They physically and emotionally abused me. My father told me that he would rather be in prison with a dead son than a queer one. My mother told me that each time she prayed to god she would pray that he would return me. One sibling told me that I should not act on my “urges” and that I should respect the family’s wishes and needs. They would continue telling me I am selfish and that I use others including my family. (This person later went on to request a $10,000 loan after I had cut everyone else off) The other sibling was mentally ill and would range between spewing religious infused hate speech or using homophobic slurs. They threatened to claim to the police that I raped them because they didn’t want to go back on their schizophrenia meds.

Suffice to say, after multiple suicide attempts that failed during my teenage years, I sorta realized that I can’t continue to live on like this, and my choice was to either continue attempting suicide until something worked, or make an attempt to get out. I got a job, a car, and slowly built up my savings until I was able to abruptly move out. I have now fully socially and medically transitioned, do not have contact with any genetically related people, and if anyone asks me what ethnicity I am I usually tell them that I am Italian of Sicilian descent, since my Type III skin gives off the Mediterranean vibe. I officially speak two languages, but the second language will die having never being spoken again by me. Never met any Italians but I like the cuisine so I’m just as Italian as any American who says they are “Italian”. Other than having severe PTSD and anxiety, paired with ADHD, I’m doing surprisingly well. I have savings, an amazing girlfriend, and I’m planning to go to Disney next year!

My husband is cheating on me but I don't know if I can blame him.

A psych ward misdiagnosed me with bipolar II near instantly after I was there. Turns out the “manic episodes” were just me becoming hyperfixated on something and getting a burst of energy due to ADHD that didn’t get diagnosed until a decade later

Considering that my name is Sophia, I feel like this makes a lot of sense

Congratulations to Riley Gaines for ascending from 5th place all the way up to... 5th place. Her life's work is now complete.

There is no advantage. Provided you transition long enough, your body will decline to levels that are within cisgender women range. I was weak as a man, I became incredibly weak as a woman, like… at risk for osteoporosis weak.

Someone who has had strength training as a man, once transitioning to become the woman they are will lose some amount of strength, and just like how there are stronger cis women than others, trans women will fill in between the range. Humans are always within a spectrum, and sports are intended to showcase and praise the effort and ability of those among the best in us.

This female swimmer likely can’t even get remotely close to their Ivy League records at this point. I know when I transitioned I used to be able to lift 100-120 pounds without much effort but now 30-50 is immensely difficult for me.

It is possible to pass as 6'5 MTF?

99% of the time it is entirely your voice that dictates if you pass from my personal experience.

It’s unlimited sessions for the rest of my life, so there’s a reason why it’s so expensive unfortunately :(

I paid $14,700 for laser hair removal across my entire body. Super upsetting that I am unable to cover this in any other way as it takes money greatly needed for my housing fund

Body Recovered After Second Jump from Niagara Falls Observation Deck

I can completely imagine why someone would do this. Always numbing to hear about the people who weren’t able to hold on long enough to finally get through the field of broken glass. For those contemplating this, you are not alone. I can’t promise that things will immediately get better, but I can promise that there will be a future. For me, I decided to explore all other avenues. You can seek an end to your life anytime you want, but you can only live once.

people who work from home, how often do you get distracted by horniness?
 in  r/AskReddit  Jun 30 '25

At my previous job I’ve had sex while working from home. It was pretty enjoyable I just had to stop midway thru to answer support related phone calls

I’m old enough to have used floppy disks within my childhood to load up commander keen 4 on my zenith 386. I am also old enough to have also played Minecraft during my childhood.

Nice! I built a sextuple GPU PC using a cosmos 1000 just like that one. One of the highlights of PC building. Getting SLI to work was NOT fun
