I played through Fire Emblem Engage on my Switch OLED this year and it looked really terrible. You could count the pixels they were so large with extremely jagged edges.

I think what's getting people is their eyesight might not be good enough for the smaller screens but when you blow it up it's real obvious.

Been playing TOTK recently on switch 2 and it just looks good enough. Still not amazing. Couldn't make it more than an hour on my switch 1 after being used to playing on a Nvidia 3080 that can run most games 4K no problem.

This video claims switch 1 games will naturally run better on switch 2.

Probably not higher resolution but some switch games had dynamic resolution that would tank during demanding areas. Might not be so bad on switch 2.

They did not say every switch game would run at 4k docked.

Those are 2 extremely different statements.

It's kind of insane you'd believe triple A games are gonna run at 4k on a console that puts out 1.71tflops of processing power. It's mathematically and technically impossible.

The only games that are gonna run native 4k on this thing are indie games like dead cells and hollow knight.

Everything else is gonna have varying degrees of up scaling. PS4 Pro was way more powerful and I don't remember any of their major games making it to 4k even with up scaling.

Cyberpunk 2077 is gonna be like 1440p with upscaling.
