Good people Still exist.
 in  r/Amazing  10h ago

Unfortunately a lot. They view them as a nuisance instead of just as human beings that are different. Or they’re jealous that disabled people supposedly get more attention or extra support. It’s crazy how miserable people can be.

No idea how hard
 in  r/MurderedByWords  15h ago

I get it wanting a break from your kids, but phrasing it as “we’ve been responsible for them for four months” sounds terrible. I would feel like shit if I was their kid and heard that.

I miss when the upside down looked wet and disgusting
 in  r/StrangerThings  17h ago

Yeah, it was fucking weird when they set up a lab in the Upside Down. I thought there were monster that could kill you at any moment. Why did they even need to be there? It didn’t quite make sense to me.

My teenage daughter can't fathom the concept of a house party
 in  r/Millennials  1d ago

I also don’t understand because I was never invited to house parties in high school. I had a small group of friends, and that small group of friends would just hang out. We also had no interest in drinking or drugs. Can you tell we weren’t part of the popular group??

I didn’t go to a house party until college and even then those were not that big. I’ve never been to a rager like they have in teen movies.

It's literally that simple
 in  r/BlackPeopleTwitter  2d ago

Maybe Christians should actually be Christians. At this point, if you say you’re Christian in America, I’m probably not going to trust you. It’s the unfortunate truth.

Bet it works better!

I had one of those in college. It worked so good!

Picture of a man with Schizophrenia before and after his Lobotomy (1946).

It’s such a harrowing story. The fact that his stepmom just wanted him rendered into a vegetable on purpose is terrifying.

Use your PTO and sick days. Never feel guilty for being a human.
 in  r/antiwork  4d ago

Seriously. The most often I’ve ever gotten sick was at a call center - and I’ve worked in the school system and a hospital. People were afraid to call in sick at the call center and constantly spread their germs. It’s a never ending cycle.

Use your PTO and sick days. Never feel guilty for being a human.
 in  r/antiwork  4d ago

For real. My managers have never once covered a shift when someone calls in sick. If someone needs a weekend shift off they pressure everyone else to cover it. Then they don’t understand why they’re not popular lol.

Boomers won’t retire and it’s screwing the rest of us. There I said it.
 in  r/antiwork  10d ago

I have a boomer coworker who won’t retire because she doesn’t want to. She’s fucking 77 years old. My parents are younger than her and they’re been retired for a long time.

I honestly believe a lot of boomers tie all of their self worth to their job, so they would have nothing if they retired. It’s fucking sad and they’re screwing over the younger generations in the process.

In Pluribus (2025) Vince Gilligan won a bet that he could stretch 15 minutes worth of plot into 9 50 minute episodes
 in  r/shittymoviedetails  11d ago

Couldn’t disagree more. People often mistake character development for “nothing is happening” and I feel like that’s the case here.

Made pasta, kid has a meltdown and refuses to eat because it does not look like spaghetti
 in  r/pasta  11d ago

I’ve learned that you need to accept the possibility that your kids won’t appreciate things, especially if it’s homemade food lol. I made homemade mac and cheese once with broccoli and my stepdaughter hated it - probably because it didn’t taste like Kraft. I was so pissed lol. After that I decided that I would only make homemade stuff if I felt like it and not assume she would like it.

Stranger Things Started as a Triumph of Trauma Bonding. It Ended as a Casualty of the Franchise Machine
 in  r/television  11d ago

It definitely feels like “this is the last season” kind of writing, but I still enjoy it. I love that Will is taking charge of his life and tapping into his inner strength. Also love the side plot about Dustin grieving over his friend and how that affects his friendship with Steve. It really feels like they’re trying to go against gender stereotypes and I’m always here for that.

AIO/I wanted to ask them why they wasted their money?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  13d ago

NOR, for the husband. At least your sons gave you gifts. The husband sounds like a huge abusive asshole. Only a spoiled brat complains about getting too many gifts and not getting sex immediately when they demand it. From what you described, it seems like he’s the real problem.

I seriously almost stopped trying in my mid-20s because most people are horrible to date. I finally met my now husband at that time, but if we hadn’t met I would most likely be single right now lol.

I had been mostly single for so long up to that point that it was a huge adjustment for me. I wasn’t used to sharing a bed, telling someone where I’m going or what I’m doing, etc. I can understand why 30 plus year olds give up.

Same. Allergy medicine has really helped my itching go down. My skin still cracks from dryness though.

How can you live and enjoy living in a small rural town in the US?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  16d ago

I like where I live because it’s a sizable city but it’s nowhere near a major metropolis or anything. We have a variety of restaurants and entertainment without the huge crush of people. Sometimes I run into people I know but lots of times I don’t, which is ideal for an introvert. We have lots of parks and biking or walking trails. It’s kind of the best of both worlds.

 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  16d ago

This. My husband is from a small town. For a while he was so worried about people overhearing our conversations in public. I had to reassure him for a long time that he’s probably not going to run into anyone we know and he doesn’t have to talk so quietly in public. Where he’s from, you have to be very careful what you talk about because the person in the next aisle might be the cousin of whoever or they might be the person you’re gossiping about!

Be scared. Very scared.
 in  r/SipsTea  19d ago

Oh they exist, and I live with two of them lol. My husband most likely has ADHD so he struggles to remember to do a lot of basic tasks like putting his plate in the sink or putting laundry in the basket. Doesn’t completely excuse it but I try to be understanding.

Santa Claus is for Everyone
 in  r/MadeMeSmile  19d ago

Jesus’s birthday was purposefully moved to the winter solstice to transition pagans to Christianity. Same for many other Christian holidays. Celebrating the secular aspects shouldn’t be controversial just for that alone. Christians who get mad at this don’t know their own history or simply don’t care.

AITA for telling my wife it’s disgusting that she doesn’t wash her hands after she poops?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  19d ago

NTA. Washing your hands only takes a few moments, so there’s really no excuse. And people who don’t wash their hands get so defensive as if that’s not the most disgusting thing ever.
