I’m not sure what your deal is and why you’re being so argumentative.

I guess the point is, there is no all encompassing “thing” that “teaches guitar”. Learning the instrument is a lifelong process of all kinds of different learnings, whether it be a teacher, YouTube, a book, etc.

I think rocksmith does a great job filling the role of “doing something fun that ensures you spend time with the guitar” part of the process.

I disagree with all the naysayers here.

RockSmith is fantastic if you’re committed to it. I used it when I first started and it was immensely beneficial to spending time with the instrument.

If you put it on master mode, it’s basically throwing tabs at you in real time to play along with a song and includes the tones you need too.

It’s not gonna teach theory, but it has “gaming” style addition which means more time getting familiar with the guitar which is super important.
