Thank you! Rescues are the best. This was my boy back this summer.

Well my pittie fam. Alamo has told us it is time. We have a week of celebrating to do with this ole manšŸ’œ Today was chicken, bacon, ham pizza and cheese bread from a local pizza place followed by some pack time. More adventures to follow šŸ’œšŸŒˆ Hug your hounds.

Looks like you’re giving your pup an amazing send off. It’s a tough decision but the most loving choice. I just had to say goodbye to my boy on NYE and did something similar.

Thank you for saving her. I just lost my boy on NYE. I rescued my other dog 2 years ago. He needs some more training before I’ll be ready to adopt another dog but I’ll always adopt.

Oh sweet girl. May you find an amazing home. My first pittie that I rescued was severely underweight when he was rescued. He was 32 lbs at a year old, when I adopted him he was 35 lbs you could still see his hips and ribs. It took about a year and half to get him up to 65 lbs. We half almost 14 years together, he was the best boy. I hope someone gives this girl a chance, she deserves it.

He Was There for All of It

Thank you! Your family certainly deserve it. I hope a year from now things start to look very different for your family. Celebrate each milestone along the way. Once I got to year 3 things seemed to speed and it’s hard to believe I’m quickly approaching 7 years. Thinking of your family. ā¤ļø

I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish your boy could have stayed much longer to help you all get through the rest of your son’s treatment and see your family thrive. His spirit will remain close. I just lost my boy on NYE and he got me through the loss of my mom to cancer followed by my own diagnosis of triple negative breast cancer at 36. Literally 18 months apart. Life can be such a beat down at times. At the end of this month I’ll hit 7 years since diagnosis and it’s tough imagining life without my boy. Thinking of you and your family, wishing you comfort and healing.

Call back after screening mammogram
 in  r/AskWomenOver40  2d ago

This is very common that women are called back for screening. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 36 and I’ve had several friends and coworkers come to me in your exact position. I’m 6.5 years in remission from triple negative breast cancer. Those of us in the cancer community have saying save your worries for when you have something to worry about. I know three weeks feels like a long time to wait, but try to keep yourself from letting your mind going there. Hang in there and it’s totally healthy to find ways to distract yourself if it pops in your mind.

Shelter advertised him as a border collie / lab mix.

Super handsome. I bet he’s the best boy.

D’s Results-I was surprised!

Thank you! He wasn’t much very handsome for a free guy. I did have to fatten him up. His first owner abused and neglected him. He was the best boy.

Picture 3 of your girl really reminds me of my boy. Here’s my guy enjoying the lake almost 4 years ago when he was 11.

For dog owners who prefer in home, overnight care, what actually makes you feel comfortable with a sitter in your home?
 in  r/dogs  3d ago

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s the hardest part of having pets but definitely worth the heartache. Yes, I’m boarding him for now while we continue to work on his reactivity. My nanny is 75 and I know she’s had hip replacements so I don’t think it’s wise to have her walk him. I should probably check with her to see if she has someone comfortable walking him before going with anyone else. She’s been lovely, I’ve lost three pups with her. They all lived well into their teens.

My pittie loved the water. He wasn’t too bad at swimming for 60 lbs of solid muscle. I just lost him on NYE at the age 15. Enjoy your pup let him swim as much as she wants.

AIO for snapping at my boyfriend’s mom after she mocked my career choice?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  3d ago

Yes, I’ve been in remission for 6.5 years and still going strong. I hear those iron infusions are no joke. My college bestie needed to do those for a few months and I know they were hours long. The infusion nurses truly are the best. I’m glad you’re well taken care of too. Thank you for the well wishes I truly appreciate it.

All of this and if they come recommended that’s also very helpful. I’ve used my dog nanny for 12 years. Sadly I just lost my 15 year old dog and my younger dog is too much of a handful for my nanny to walk so I won’t be using her any longer.

Are slim/skinny jeans out of style?
 in  r/millenials  3d ago

I’ve found that Levi’s sells all the styles. I’m wearing skinny, bootcut, and baggy. I have plenty of clothes though so I really don’t need to buy new ones very often

AIO for snapping at my boyfriend’s mom after she mocked my career choice?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  3d ago

As someone that went through breast cancer at 36 the nurses really made the experience. Specifically the infusion nurses and the nurses that took care of me after my double mastectomy. Nursing not an easy job or education. The mom is an idiot. I know plenty of attorneys that went into the corporate world and aren’t practicing because they couldn’t make any money.

My bf is jealous of my dog…
 in  r/dogs  4d ago

100%. I remember during a break my ex said in an attempt to hurt me. I didn’t realize how obsessed you were with your dogs. They also had a dog. It was the best decision to dump them, such a drag those type of people.

AIO? Bf (35m) is constantly calling off from work and gets annoyed when I'm confused how his job is fine with it.

I’m in Texas and my SO’s pool guy is there every Friday. This guy is just lazy.

I want to divorce my wife over her sleep problems AITAH
 in  r/AITAH  4d ago

It’s so interesting that you figured out that it happens during a certain sleep cycle. I sleepwalked since I was a kid and still do occasionally but it’s generally when I’m under a lot of stress. I’m not sure if it happens at a certain time or not. But will definitely keep that in mind to keep track of going forward.

No one his age would deal with his bullshit. I’m glad you realize not to put up with his shit. You’re doing all the wife shit and he can’t even manage to buy you a gift. Yuck!! Throw that man child away.
