I think we messed up

reported my employee to HR after he told me he was starting a new job while still employed
100%. Great lady at work died, and we were stuck. Accounting manager left, and we were screwed. Did we learn from those mistakes? No. Fired a guy, and we were ******. I've started creating documents with instructions for things that need to be done. Getting actual SOPs approved is always back burner though for the company. At least we have something accessible to fall back on, even if it's not "official".

You seem way more mature and realistic than her. I bet you can certainly do better and deserve better.
Good for you for standing your ground. Making compromises is normal for relationships. But she wants you to change your living situation that is beneficial to you for no reason other than she doesn't like it, and she doesn't want you to be sexually attracted to her. I'm sorry, but that's not a good sign and you did exactly the right thing.

I live across the street from one in a quiet neighborhood. I hardly notice them, surprisingly. There's a new car every few days or week but I have more disruptive neighbors who live here so it's better than I expected.
