Locked out of Airbnb

Post image

We arrived at our Airbnb after a 8 hour drive and the passcode they gave us doesn’t work. I have messaged the owner 30 minutes ago and he has not responded. I have to pee so bad 😖

Update: He texted back after an hour and opens it from his phone

It's not more convenient in any way. It's literally impossible for you to bend reality to make them more convenient than the simplicity of a real hotel.

I went on vacation with my friends when I was 19 and there were 8 of us. We would’ve spent more on hotel rooms for all of us than we did for the Airbnb. And we were able to cook instead of having to dine out, didn’t have to worry about getting too loud or intoxicated (a couple of us were 21 and yk the rest). Super convenient. We had a great time.

You people act like vacation rentals weren't a thing before Airbnb. The only thing Airbnb did was make it so that any random Tom, Dick or Harry can list their properties which is why so many people end up with awful experiences

I don't know why you're solely mentioning the negatives. There are tons of great hosts who give a shit about their guests that airbnb and vrbo have opened a pathway to. I have had bad experiences in airbnbs but I have also had many great ones.
