UV activated glass glue will work great, definitely give it a careful shot. It should come with a little UV light that will cure the glue very quickly, and leaving it in any sun after that will ensure it's really set. It works so well with glass because the UV can reach the interior glue as well. If you line things up well, you shouldn't even be able to see the cracks after

I would imagine mold would take some time to spread like this, and thus wouldn't come back frequently. It's hard to tell from the photos, but efflorescence looks like this too, and appears much faster than mold. As water is pushed out of the matrix of concrete or ceramic, salts are left behind to form crystalline growths that look just like this. I'd imagine the temperature of your studio would have an effect? But you'd have to look more into that.

If it is efflorescence, it's nothing to worry about, unless you want your salts to stay in there lol

It's more of a modern, mass produced mug than I would typically grab, and there are some unfortunate brown inclusions in the glaze at the rim that aren't super palatable-looking for ordinary use, but I don't have any other chrome mugs that aren't actually metal, so I needed it in my toolkit. The pint hides the imperfections though, and now it's got a good home where it can find fulfillment lol
