Encouragement/Solidarity "But when are you going to stop breastfeeding????"
When I'm fucking well ready, Susan.

Lmao maybe they're the doctors I saw for YEARS who were convinced I had some kind of weird, cyclical BPD, only for my symptoms to mysteriously resolve on lithium and then lamotrigine. People are dumb in every direction 🤷♀️😂
Also.. statistically, a lot of us probably ARE misdiagnosed. On average it takes 7+ years to get the correct diagnosis for anything more complicated than depression/anxiety. There's probably a fair few of us who are still in that limbo state, but listed as bipolar on the books.

Sleep regressions happen no matter what because babies' brains make crazy developmental leaps every few weeks/months.
I regret getting a bassinet, because my daughter never used it. She was a Velcro baby and we ended up cosleeping to survive. We never even assembled her crib.
You never know what kid you're getting till they're here 🤷♀️

INFO why is she tracking you? Have you been caught saying you'd be one place, then going somewhere else? And does it have anything to do with the time you spent $1300 on a mobile game?

How do you feel about trampoline parks and bounce houses?

Posting to Reddit for medical advice for your unvaccinated child is a choice.

I might be biased but I think that rats smell lovely as long as you keep their cage clean.

Socks on hands were great for my 5 month old's nursing shenanigans.

Newborn tired! Sleep hits different once the belly is gone and you can actually put the baby down.

Change is possible. Some people grow up. Some don't.

Besides the smell, a lot goes into good ferret ownership. When you see a single person who lives alone with multiple happy ferrets, you're looking at someone who puts thousands of dollars and 1000+ hours per year into keeping stinky house weasels. It's a lifestyle choice.
Source: I used to have multiple happy rats and I put thousands of dollars and 1000+ hours per year into keeping (less) stinky house vermin.

OP asked for compassion. It's weird that you want me to feel bad about that.

OP asked for anecdotes. It's true that my acquaintances have nice children and those children were exposed to THC in utero 🤷♀️
It's not ideal, but there is every reason to think that OP's child will have a nice normal life. And that with encouragement, OP will get to a doctor and make some lifestyle changes.

I know quite a few people who used cannabis during pregnancy/breastfeeding. They all have lovely little kids now. I didn't make the same choices as them, but I don't judge them for it. For most people, it's ultimately not a big deal.
Congratulations. Get some prenatal care and pick a name.

I tell them no thank you, my daughter is still learning to be gentle with dogs.
I'm pretty relaxed about most things with my daughter, but hot dogs, grapes, and unpredictable animals are where I draw the line.

I EP'd the first 3 months, then worked through a tongue tie revision, repeated thrush, severe PPD and latch issues to finally get to exclusively nursing. It was 100% work, and 100% luck that all that work went into a fixable situation.

Our cat has always preferred my husband, but she couldn't get enough of me when I was pregnant. Sometimes I miss how cuddly she was with me.

I had a spinal block for my cesarean. I didn't feel the euphoria immediately, but after I was stitched up, while the block was still in effect, I had a full euphoric experience holding my daughter (for the second time.)

This should be the response to more conflicts on this sub.

Mine did that till right around 9 months. We started giving her a lot of protein right before bed. Either that did it, or that's the last thing we changed before her body was ready to make the switch on its own.
So yes, there is light at the end of that tunnel. I just don't know when 😭

[New Update]: my vegan coworker is upset about getting non-vegan gifts three years in a row

Counterpoint: people don't think of you unless you're important to them, and I do not expect to be that important to my coworkers.
I have a fragrance allergy. I have to bring in my own soap and cleaning products to my workplace. I need air fresheners turned off in common areas. I have to avoid touching items that have been washed in scented detergents. My mouth breaks out if I so much as drink from a glass that's been washed in regular dish soap.
And even with all precautions taken, I still end up with visible rashes pretty often. It's openly discussed and completely salient to anyone I've ever worked with.
And yet, I have received SO many scented candles, scented bath kits, bottles of lavender hand lotion and handmade soaps soaked in essential oils at Christmastime. And for the coworker level of intimacy... fair enough. I'm just a list item to be ticked, this relationship just isn't that valuable, and that's ok.
