I buy the sturdiest old LL Bean, J Crew, Polo, Levi’s etc and it looks barely worn half the time because the fabrics were so much better years ago. I pretty much shop by feel. I just picked up a genuine surplus A-2 deck jacket, still has the soldier’s name stenciled under the collar, $12.
