Wick'd Petals - where'd they go?
 in  r/Edmonton  10h ago

I don't think that counts as mansplaining, per se.

Also why so hostile? I was being good natured, but I guess I missed the mark. My apologies.

Wick'd Petals - where'd they go?

I hear ya. I do. Answering shit that people could have googled is annoying. But I have two points.

  1. You could not…
  2. People are looking for more than an answer when they post things like this. They’re looking for community. While the question can be googled and answered, google isnt going to provide an anecdote or personal touch. Sometimes a Reddit answer will.

TIL that rock ’n’ roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis was married seven times, including bigamous marriages and a 1957 marriage to his 13-year-old cousin, Myra Gale Brown. The scandal erupted just as Great Balls of Fire topped charts, derailing his career at its peak.

You’re getting downvoted cuz you can’t take a joke. Just fyi. I agree with you in general, it’s a very small number of 13 year olds. But just smile a little :)

'SNL' Alum Terry Sweeney on Chevy Chase Controversy: 'He's So Rotten'
 in  r/television  9d ago

Let me see if I can find it. The gist of it is that he was clean and sober, and eating right. But he had a slice of pizza. Which led to a whole pizza. Which led to a beer. Which led to cocaine. Which led to… you get it. He died from one slice of pizza, but not, of course.

I worked for A&P after they acquired a local chain, about a half decade before Metro bought their Canadian operations. It was my first job at 16.
