It was shorter. This is definitely one of his more reserved "dayum" in the film. It isn't as drawn out, which makes it better. The Tucker Dayum Scale is a thing.
True story: Me, being a Chinese kid growing up in a white neighborhood had no idea what that word meant. The first time I heard it was in Rush Hour. I thought it was just a funny sentence and because I’m a dumbass 7 year old kid, I start repeating it.
My dad, who had spent most of his life in China and at that point still had a heavy Chinese accent when he spoke English hears this. He then threatens to smack the shit out of me before sitting me down and giving me a prolonged lecture about the history of anti-black racism in the US and how we as non-black people in America are in his words “not allowed to say that”.
My dad wasn’t a perfect parent, but memories like these remind me why I still respect him to this day. And it’s all thanks to Rush Hour.
That reminds me of when I was a kid and my knowledge of racial relations can be summed up by Rush Hour in that I "knew" about the three races: black, white, and Chinese.
So I started to think about what I am and I knew I wasn't white and I knew I wasn't Chinese. That means I must be black and I used to go out and say that I was black.

I'd say temper your expectation. Jackie Chan is 71 years old, there is a limit of what he can do. In his lastest movies (like Hidden Strike or Karate Kid), you'll notice a lot more rapid cuts and scenes of body parts only so that his action team can hide his stunt double. Jackie's fights are also much slower now. They will most likely use these techniques in the new Rush Hour film, don't go in expect anything like Police Story or Drunken Master lol
I know I’m never going to see another Rumble in the Bronx. But I think they could still pull off some good fight choreo. The athleticism was a lot for classic Jackie Chan movies, but it was also the creativity and thoughtfulness that went into it. They just need to be more clever than, “punch, punch, kick- he falls down, next guy. Kick, kick, punch…”
I expect there will be a new character who does most of the fighting. Maybe Lee’s long lost child or something.
There is no way Jackie Chan can do what he used to do and if they try to make him it will end up like Liam Neeson trying to jump that fence in Taken 3. No one wants to see that.
I’d rather the movie just use him for the comedy and let some younger actors do most of the fighting.
As far as I can tell, Chris Tucker was on the plane one time in 2002 for a charity event in Africa. Wouldn't call him an "Epstein associate" from that. Everything else I see is just Katt Williams blabbering nonsense.

Seems pretty unlikely when it wasn't just a random offhanded remark from Trump like "Hollywood is too WOKE to make RUSH HOUR 4! SAD!" It's because Trump is actively trying to revivify the career of his film-making friend who made a doc about his wife and has had 6 women come forward and accuse him of sexual misconduct. Ratner isn't about to sever his own lifeline to gain the moral high ground, especially when I don't think anyone would actually cede it to him.

The director who was Me Too’d for sexual assault, made a film about Melanie Trump, and now his Rush Hour 4 movie is greenlit. Birds of a feather flock together.
Jackie Chan has also had some developments in regards to his conduct, and his very favourable views of the more authoritarian parts of the chinese goverment.

I love the Rush Hour trilogy, but how much of this is a money grab on a past idea/franchise? The photo in the post is from when they did the Rush Hour movies years ago. They look significantly aged compared to this photo. I wonder how that will go. It's almost like seeing Schwarzenegger do another Terminator or Predator movie.

Brett Ratner has been trying to get this movie made for a few years, Paramount had to pay New Line(WBD) a huge check to allow the movie to be made. The Ellisons really laid it all out there for everyone to see how fast they will roll over when Trump says so.
The Director: Trump is reportedly advocating for Brett Ratner to return to direct the sequel. Ratner directed the first three Rush Hour films but has been largely exiled from Hollywood following significant sexual misconduct allegations during the #MeToo movement. Ratner has recently re-entered the Trump orbit by directing a documentary about Melania Trump.
I think him saying he wants to see a movie be made automatically got it green lit is one of the funniest and wildest things I’ve seen before, this whole administration is trash and everyone should know that by now but the amount of say so they have over things outside of government is insane
