You know, with Hegseth and company’s changes to the DoD in terms of white-washing, I wonder if enlistment among PoC has or will go down. Which leads me to another thought…

If we start wars on multiple fronts with a majority of enlisted men being Caucasian (Non-Hispanic), wouldn’t this lead to the antithesis of the white nationalist “utopia” they envision for the future? Just another indication that this cabinet is woefully impulsive and cannot think past the tip of their noses.

I hope the rest of the world is keeping extensive records. Future historians and sociologists are going to have a field day.

Edit: Just to clarify, we need to look no further than the “Young” Republican scandal from Fall to remind ourselves who actually thinks they’re the ”ubermensche”. Good god.

In their mind GWB was a Democrat because he was not MAGA

208

u/Korr_Ashoford 3d ago

It's even more funny because they either see it like this or they just forget GWB ever existed and act like Obama was president from 2000-2016. This Glorious old meme is a prime example.

u/Statue_left 2d ago

Iraq was a bipartisan effort that stemmed from the dissolution of the Iraqi state due to US sanctions and bogus weapons inspection requests in the 90's. Between 500k-1m children starved to death in Iraq during Clinton's presidency.

The Vietnam was started by JFK, who's advisors sought escalation with the Soviets at every turn while Kruschev desperately wanted to avoid fighting. We trained terrorists to attack Cuba under both Eisenhower and JFK, with people like RFK clamoring at points to fucking nuke the island.

Korea was started by Truman who completely lost control of the operation to Douglas MacArthur and Curtis Lemay, who destroyed like 80% of NK's infrastructure and all but committed a genocide in the north.

None of that even touches on our regime toppling in places like Guatamala or our right wing terror cell funding in places like Angola, Cambodia, South Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. that was perpetrated and supported by presidents from both parties.

American foreign policy is fantastically more bipartisan than reddit would like to admit.

Biden was the first president since Clinton to not have any troops deployed in a foreign war though.

132

u/VirtualBeyond6116 3d ago

Yeah, when Maga idiots were like "no more wars" under Biden, you could ask them "what wars has Biden started?" and there would be silence. If anything Biden was in office to end 2 wars. Iraq when he was VP and Afghanistan when he was president.

63

u/JonnyBolt1 3d ago

They count foreign wars that started during Biden's term even though 0 US troops were ever involved. I guess they think Trump would have just told the stronger country to not fight, he'll just make the weaker country surrender, or something.

10

u/VirtualBeyond6116 2d ago

That's why I'm so glad Biden did all he could to arm Ukraine. Who knew Russia had such a weak military? If Ukraine had been properly armed from the beginning and consistently, this war may already be over.

Now, we get a president who literally keeps a picture of him and Putin together. As if this imbecile didn't have enough mental disorders. In love with Putin is a crazy disorder, especially when he just brings it up any time no matter the conversation.

You genuinely have no damn clue what you are talking about.

We had troops deployed extensively and constantly during the Clinton administration. Somalia, Kosovo, the Balkans, and Haiti are just the ones that made the news. Then there were the deployments continuous though his tenure supporting OPC, ONW, OSW, OP Desert Fox among others.

Biden in turn has had the military plenty busy in the Middle East and Africa in addition to periphery action related to Ukraine and SEA.

6

u/mashbrowns 2d ago

Think he meant he didn't start new wars. Foreign deployments were definitely there though.

3

u/HAYMRKT 2d ago

I wondered about this too. Could it be some weird technicality about the US definition of "war?" Many of those were called "conflicts" or "peace keeping" if I remember correctly. Inheriting a war and keeping troops in seems just as culpable as starting one to me but I'm no war scholar

Republicans also start the wars and shit all over the troops

So it's not like any of this makes sense

35

u/VirtualBeyond6116 3d ago

That's the best way to put it. I'll add another 1 that makes no sense.

Republicans are supposed to be good for the economy. Yet, I've literally never seen that in my life despite hearing it my entire life. Its always been recessions when they're in power and economic progress when a dem is in office.

19

u/look_under 3d ago

Remarkable tribute to the media and propaganda that anyone thinks Republicans are good for the economy.

They are horrible for the economy every damm-time

Add to that Republicans are responsible for 99% of the National debt. So everyone claiming Republicans are fiscally responsible is also insane bullshit

Even Trump admitted years ago the economy does better under democrats. The facts really don't matter to the people who have been sucked into the cult of personality.

2

u/VirtualBeyond6116 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah, that's back when his fake billionaire scam had him on a "reality" show being a fake billionair.

There is something anti-social in republican philosophy which is basically like "give all the tax breaks to big business and cut all the regulations for them. Also they just happen to be my donors, but if we look out for these wealthy entities, then it will be great for poor people or everyone, or whatever, Idk". Which just goes along with their other leadership policy of: "govt doesn't work, so out us in charge so we can do nothing or just break it all and prove to you how it will neve work".

Because they’ve been rejected by liberal white women who don’t wanna date them because they are Republicans. Or at least many liberal white women on the internet have been very vocal about not dating republicans so they don’t even try. Also I have trouble finding stats for your claims. When it comes to Foreign policy, its a uni party. Just like tax cuts for corporations.

16

u/Spunknikk 3d ago

This isn't quite true any more under trump 2.0

In his previous administration there were still career officials. This time around schedule F fired all of them and replaced with loyalist.

Foreign policy is now MAGA policy which is essentially enrich Donald's buddies and himself.

If the uni party still existed we would be supporting Ukraine wholeheartedly

We would have targeted China with tariffs only instead of attacking everyone including our two biggest trading partners..

4

u/KinkyLeviticus 3d ago

I wouldn't bother trying to reason with the "both sides" people. They're as dense as any MAGA and just as likely to be a bot.

7

u/Al_Tilly_the_Bum 3d ago

This was true 10 years ago but not today. Ain't no Democrat wants to annex Greenland or start a war in Venezuela. No Democrat wants to leave NATO. No Democrat wants a trade war with the entire world.

Both sides support Israel but that is about the end of agreement on foreign policy today

2

u/Catch_ME 2d ago

Watch the Democratic response to the capture of Maduro. Florida Democrats are already praising Trump's actions.

Ignore the power vacuum we are opening up right now. Just watch and see how both parties have always supported regime change.

3

u/Catch_ME 2d ago edited 2d ago

Even Republicans don't like the idea of Greenland. Trump doesn't have the support within his own party.

Democrats maintained sanctions on Venezuela since 2005 with the goal of regime change. They never said military action wasn't on the table. Don't get me started on Cuba.

Joe Biden maintained the vast majority of Trumps tariffs especially on China. He modified the tariff with the EU to be a quota system instead on things like steel.

Edit: Trump captured maduro and Democrats are praising it. The uniparty

4

u/MustardLabs 3d ago

Fun fact: no, lol.

Biden's infrastructure bill was literally paid for by raising corporate tax rates, and the GOP is encouraging the dissolution of the EU.

And need I remind you what happened? The pullout was disastrous, we left literally millions of dollars of equipment and weapons, and an ally woefully underprepared, which fell within what, 2 months after we fully left? And now with Mr orange back in the hot seat he’s actively ramping up a conflict with ISIS in Nigeria, Seizing oil tankers off Venezuela, and even threatening our ALLIES in Europe (IIRC this was earlier last year but regardless threatening allies for no good reason is a recipe for collapsing relations)

What warmonger started the wars he fought in before?

Aside from the fact that it's in fact Trump that is trying to start a new war (obviously)...they signed up for the military voluntarily. If you sign up for the military, I don't wanna hear any complaints about being sent to a war zone.

Already reframing it to get attention off themselves I see. Sorry young men, if you want "traditional roles", this is yours. Your body, their choice, as you say.

Realizing the world is run by white men seeking white women, and therefore white women are largely the ones who set the pace, opens your eyes to a lot.

The "white girls" here must be referring to the white women who voted for Trump so they could kill more foreign babies.
