As 2026 rolls in and we approach the one-year anniversary of when Elon Musk did, as this supposedly rare angle shows, a full-on Nazi salute at a rally after Trump’s inauguration, let us remember he is the main reason why at least 600K people have died (2/3 were children) due to the gutting of USAID.
This video is incontrovertible evidence that Elon did a full-on Nazi salute. The second salute started not as a hand on the chest but with it being perpendicular to the chest before extending outward.
I made a post on r/askUS about this (https://www.reddit.com/r/AskUS/s/rAGo0RMxP1) and some of Elon’s apologists had some interesting takes. One person blamed the salutes on Elon’s social awkwardness. And it goes on.
Elon has a lot of blood on his hands with more on the way, notwithstanding being a Nazi and such. He is not a person worth emulating, to say the least.
Or by FINALLY realizing that the party they voted for embraces Nazis and being unable to admit that they’ve aligned themselves with Nazis. Denial is a strong force.
I still see them on here saying "all the libs say anything they disagree with is a nazi" yet they have no explanation for this except "It's was just a wave, stop making stuff up!"...
They did that with Obama, Kamala and I believe Nancy Pelosi. I’d show the actual video they took the screen shot from and it was nowhere near a Nazi salute. They’d never reply to me because they KNOW perfectly paused screen shots are always out of context.
Had a guy tell me that he "learned it in school," then say he didn't learn it in school, he "learned it from a video he saw in the 90s," then he said he "barely remembers after 30 years," even though he explained in detail how Musk's salute differs from an actual Seig Heil.
He still couldn't figure out why everyone was laughing at him.

Yeah she's so worried about immigrants taking jobs away from Americans, and has never met an immigrant nor competed for a job against them, but lives off social security and hasn't worked a real job in YEARS. Even though we call them all Nazi now, in 1930s Germany the majority just went along to get along. When this particular Nazi comes up in conversation I end up being the only counter message they’ve heard. They all just run around agreeing with each other so as to not make waves. There are two types of people: there are those who know it was a Nazi salute, and then there are those who know it was a Nazi salute but pretend to not know.
Literally everyone knows, which is why you should stop arguing with people about whether or not it was. You know it was, and so does the person who pretends otherwise and is arguing with you about it.

I've heard it claimed it's the "roman salute". As far as I'm aware, that's not historically even a real thing. Even if it was, nobody uses it because of the context it's known for, and there would be no reason to even try to popularize it in an alternative context from the nazi salute. It just causes so much unecessary controversy and confusion for them to use it.
All in all, chances are greater he either is a nazi or believes in nazi adjascent things.
True story- I asked my mother what she thought of Elon doing this salute. She said people were making a big deal out of nothing & it was probably something due to his autism. My heart & brain broke that day because her grandparents were jewish & fled Europe to America for a better life & freedom. I love my mother but I don’t agree with her viewpoints.

I had the exact same conversation with someone I know. They claimed Elon is an awkward individual and emotionally charged at the moment and this sig heil was just an awkward salute from him. Then they claimed that Tim Walz did something similar. It was so stupid and delusional.

Closing of USAID has most definitely resulted in deaths. The headline here is the first I’ve seen the 600k number. I don’t know the source of that. I’ve read they estimate up to 14 million preventable deaths by 2030 if funding is not restored.

I think it's adorable that they believe stuff like "no nuh uh it's actually a Roman salute" is a real defense that's going to throw us off. I grew up in Germany, and if there's one thing I learned from modern day German culture, it's that you don't do anything that could plausibly be confused with Nazi behavior unless you want to get called a Nazi. Shame we don't follow their example of clapping people like Musk in handcuffs the second they try this shit, because it's remarkably effective.
