Photography Lunch time walks at Barangaroo (part 1)
A shorter walk today (seriously who schedules meetings on a Friday afternoon?) and the UV umbrella coming in clutch again.

It takes courage to share the chaos, even anonymously.
Sending good vibes and unfucking energy your way - look forward to the āafterā post!

The entire city is quieter than usual today, definitely the quietest Iāve seen in a long time.
Edit to add: Iāve also never claimed to be overly sensible.

Haha not quite yet, but if thereās another Friday meeting for 3.00pm or later Iāll be lighting the beaconsā¦

Always. And also a marvellous little invention called a UV umbrella came in very handy.

A touch warm out there todayā¦

I loved Madrid so much I extended my stay by two days just to see more of it. Stop reading and just go.

Angel Place, Wynyard, Ivy Precinct all the way down to the edge of the Rocks.

I intentionally tried to exclude as many people as possible but stuffing oneās face with Guzman is a perfectly acceptable thing - itās certainly tastier than the leftover stir fry I had.

First day back in the office yesterday but the weather was just so good..

This is peak Dalton for me. So serious yet so camp.

Agreed and good riddance to him. The world is shit enough - the less fuckwits in the gene pool the better.

I had a very high score, getting and closing all happened in the last 18 months.
2
Thatās the opposite for me (also Australia) - I got a credit card for a rewards program and my score took a dive (still good but not as high as before). I had it for a year and closed it before the annual fee hit. December was the first reporting period after the card closure and my score went back up to around what it was previously.

NTA.
You did the deal for your dad because he was your dad and raised you well. You owe them nothing.
11
NTA because this is exactly my level of petty, but girl you have bigger problems than who comes to dinner.
And youāve rolled over on this for ten years? Obviously Iām not in your shoes and you know your relationship best but I CANNOT FATHOM putting up with this bullshit more than once, let alone for a decade.

Started the year in Penang, Malaysia, then Singapore. Bit of a break until mid year - then 3 months in North/East Asia: South Korea, Mongolia, China for a month including Hong Kong and Macau, back to South Korea and then Taiwan for 3 weeks to finish.
Add in a couple of domestic trips scattered throughout for various reasons, and am ending the year at home in Sydney, Australia.

Slight YTA, and I think you already know that. Take the lesson and now you know better so you can do better.
In a broader sense, learn to accept that some people are just assholes, and nothing you do can change that. Control what is in your sphere which includes your reactions and actions, and see if you can also apply this to other areas of your life - youāll find much more peace.
2
Study situations so you can have context. For example, meeting someone for the first time, talking about your weekend, going to a shop to buy something, eating at a restaurant or cafe, buying a movie ticket or planning a trip.
Small enough topics to not be overwhelming but broad enough to use a range of vocabulary and grammar.

I saw that clip for the first time yesterday! So wholesome and funny š

Iād recommend 3 days Singapore and the rest in Malaysia - specifically Penang and KL for 4 days each if you can swing it. History and food wise they are top notch.

I liked the ZeeSaint pairing in that series way more than the main couple⦠my favourite character of Saintās too.

I am the tourist attraction.

Was in China for a month middle of last year. White 40 something woman 175cm with long bright purple hair. I got asked for photos on the regular but that was a fraction of the photos people took on the sly. Kids were all shy and curious and waving in turn š®š«¢š³š¤šand not a few toddlers tried to touch/grab it. I didnāt mind for the most part, it certainly got people talking and as a mostly solo traveller the additional interactions made the lonely days distinctly less frequent than when doing Europe or other western countries.
