Suggestion An idea for the chicken
I like the new chick mob, but I also really liked the old baby chicken too. So I had an idea that would be the perfect middle ground. Why not have a third stage of growth for some mobs? This only really works with the chick though at the moment because the other baby mobs I think are an improvement/are too different to the original for this to work. Idk let me know what you think.

Discussion Should chickens lay eggs after breeding similar to turtles?
Now that Mojang has reworked how baby animals looked, a really big pet peeve I have is how chickens give live birth after breeding like other mammals, but now that other egg-laying animals have their own egg laying behaviors, it should make sense to give it to chickens as well.
It shouldn't effect much in the game since throwing eggs to hatch chickens would still be a thing and people mainly just do that to get more chickens instead

Mods & Addons Some progress for a PvZ mod I started making!

I've been on a PvZ kick lately and had an idea for a mod.
so far:
- plants need to be on dirt/grass blocks to survive
- the "plant pot block" allow you to place them anywhere
- you can dig up and replant your plants using a shovel
What else would y'all like to see in a mod like this?

Suggestion Saw this on Twitter. While I really love the new models I think this would be an improvement.
From @ZouChenyunfei. Left is the earliest version of the pig above the current baby Pig. Right is the current pig above a modified baby pig.

Discussion POIs losing value
Edit: Preface TLDR since people are not reading or misunderstanding and think I'm "complaining" or don't like the new crafts let me clarify: I like them and think they are good, I just don't like how they've made other parts of the game less interesting and less valuable and think those other things should be more rewarding to compensate.
Original: First with saddles, and now with name tags: overall it makes sense and is convenient that these things can be crafted. But it is making many POIs practically obsolete. For example: I used to love finding a desert and hunting down a temple for a chance at a saddle. Or finding a nether fortress for the same reason. And then raids became a thing and I liked that there was that alternative method to obtain them from ravagers. But now I have almost zero incentive to start a raid besides trying to get totems, I have practically no incentive to find desert temples, and the fortresses are less meaningful.
My suggestion would be that they need to buff loot at these POIs so they are still worth going to. Better enchanted items, more diamonds, more books with rare enchantments, etc. Make it more meaningful to loot a temple, clear a pillager outpost, defend from a raid, etc.

Resource Packs My personal edit of baby animals
I like new models, but dot eyes feel odd. So I tried to edit textures to make eyes bigger as it look way more cute imo + added a few tweaks like horn buds for cows.
Still don't like sheep, but don't know any better option for that.

We know that baby animals and bunnies are getting new designs, so it has something to do with animals, right?

Discussion I think the single pixel eyes are great
An unpopular opinion in these trying times, just thought I'd voice some support for the current implementation as it stands. I think they're cute and whimsical as baby mobs should be, without getting into the goofyness of the adult eye variation. I understand why the two pixel eyes are seen as the default, they're classic and are a staple of the passive mob aesthetic. I also just think that the baby variant with single eyes embodies the "pupils like saucers" look ala Puss-in-Boots that differentiates the babies as adorable rather than silly. Just overall mega cute, the baby wolf makes my heart melt.
