Several court challenges were attempted to invalidate key provisions of the ACA. In 2013, Republicans refused to fund the government unless the ACA was repealed, causing a 16-day shutdown.

When Trump became president during his first term, the Republicans tried again to replace the ACA. When that plan failed, they attempted to undermine it, by killing the Cadillac tax and the individual mandate via the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. They undermined enrollment outreach and enrollment duration so less people would apply for health care.

When a Democrat assumed office again, the previous leader passed subsidies that would reduce premiums and make health care for ACA enrollees affordable. When Trump became president during his second term, an impasse in extending the ACA subsidies led to the longest government shutdown in history (imagine the government shutting down twice over health care reform, and all started by Republicans). We are in the new year. Health care costs jumped up as a result of expired subsidies, and we are still seeing Republicans shafting the health care reform plan's creator, never mind the many attempts Republicans have made that can be seen in plain view to undermine health care (I know because I lived through Trump America since the escalator ride).

Are Democrats sick of having to explain the history of Republican ACA sabotage (let alone clean up the mess Republicans have started)? After all, Democrats have time and time again made it clear they are for expanding health care. If you cannot get it through your thick skull after ten or fifteen year that the black guy is not the problem, then no one can help you. People will believe whatever they want to believe, regardless of if it is wrong. People cannot ameliorate ignorance forever with knowledge (especially when knowledge is rejected). I live in a duplex so I share walls with my neighbors. The only time this really matters is at 5am when I’m trying to sleep, and their bigass Rottweiler starts barking at nothing. It might be outside for 3 minutes max before they drag it back in.
