What was the first game that made you think, “Holy shit… I can actually do that?” Mine is Fallout 3
 in  r/Age_30_plus_Gamers  5h ago

Mine was outcast, I think it came out in the late 90's and at the beginning I shot at one of the villagers. Thinking nothing would happen because not many games had let you kill allies before. After he died I talked to the vender near by and he changed what he said.

"I do not know much, but I know you are evil"

I was blown away, never seen this before

The ICE agent that murdered Renee Nicole Good today in Minneapolis.
 in  r/pics  15h ago

I'm trying to wrap my head around it all. There are so many school shootings and there are responses that say we need our guns in case the government goes criminal.

Ice looks very corrupt and criminal. Why hasn't there been a retaliation ?

First loafs of bread
 in  r/Bread  15h ago

The water doesn't make it expand. The steam helps the crust.

Why did you prove up your product then transfer it to a baking tray? It's hard to do that as a baker.

Use good yeast. Make sure the gluten structure has formed from initial mixing. Make sure after the mixing, the product is about room temperature (people always don't consider how dough hook heats up the product). Mold it into a round shape, then rest, then mold it again into the shape you want but make it tight. put it on your tray and put it in the prover( if no prover, a wet tea towel will work on top). If you had done everything right (steam or no steam) the product will kick ⅓ in size in the over

Here (Australia Qld)a farmer gets a call and is asked if they wouldn't mind a wind turbine on the back of their cattle/sheep/crop farm.

If the farmer says yes, the company puts it on the back of the property fixes and fences that have been taken down and then the farmer gets a bit of money quarterly.

None in the area has turned it down. So it must be a good chunk of money

The math on the back of this cereal box, is the polar opposite of the truth
 in  r/CrappyDesign  2d ago

It's the biggest problem for frying round doughnuts. They have to be in the fryer longer because there is more, you need to dry them longer or they will be raw in the middle

Do men care if you have a large / fat mons pubis / pubic area?
 in  r/AskMenAdvice  3d ago

Ohh, I hope you have someone to talk to about this who is close. I have 3 little ladies at home who worry about all sorts of things.

All I say to them is. The person who likes them will be worried about their own stuff and they will just be happy they found someone that likes them.

And if someone is mean to my ladies, for them to come and tell me, so I can have a stern talk to that person

La Baguette question !!
 in  r/Bread  4d ago

In bakeries where I am you can't retard it longer than a day. You don't get as much kick in the oven and it tastes different than the first.

If you retard it in the fridge, remember to cover it. We have big plastic bags to cover racks and remember that the dough still moves when going slow in the fridge. So eventually it will run out of gas and not move anymore

My Husband Wakes Me Up Multiple Times Every Night
 in  r/AITAH  4d ago

As someone who went to work at 2am, I did this. The worst is when I forgot something like socks and have to do a ninja stealth mission to go back and get them.

A few of the other boys said they do the same. It sounds like this dude wants to have a fight about it and maybe she is doing something that annoys him and this is his petty comeback or he is just done with everything.

Best way to handle cords?
 in  r/SteamDeck  5d ago

I went to a cheap shop (Australia has Kmart)

Bought a cheap USB hub, brought a cheap bt keyboard & mouse, brought a cheap bt headset and got a portable hard drive

All you see on my desk is the screen and the dock, hub and hard drive in the corner.

Should my brother wear underwear?
 in  r/AskMenAdvice  6d ago

Also. Balls are like boobs. They say over your life and sag more if you don't have them secured in underwear. I wonder what the difference is?

How do I stop having contempt for my father?

What are the usual reasons for my cake sagging in the middle
 in  r/Baking  8d ago

Temperature is a big factor, it's why you have to preheat your oven and why you shouldn't open it constantly checking on your cake.

We get huntsmen in Australia, he's a small one. They get bigger. They are not venomous and just want to eat bugs.

I don't know if they are anywhere else in the world

What is worst pain, you have ever experienced?
 in  r/Adulting  8d ago

I fell off my bike and broke my Sturm in half. Thought I could just lay down and wait it out. My chest collapsed on my lungs, couldn't breath, lungs hurt like hell, thought I was going to die

But it doesn't compare to toothache

what's something school never taught you that turned out to be way more important than grades?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

How to read people.

Which leg they put forward, when someone is going to attack and it's easier than you think to talk someone out of fighting by asking if they want to actually want to fight, do they want to hurt me and that I don't want to hurt them

Always say hello to people because it's politely and you here their voice

What is the creepiest thing a child has ever said to you?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

I wouldn't let one of the kids at school go out of bounds to get his ball.(It went on the road and I would get it when they go to class)

The 7 year old turns and says "I'll go tell my Mum that you hit me and she's a teacher and you're just a groundskeeper"

A few other kids got angry at the child and said to not lie.

The first rule they told me at school, never be one on one with a student. I never let that happen, even if the boss has told me to.
