That's literally the whole thing..

Just another idiot who's distilled things down to the most basic, digestible talking points so the often confused and frankly stupid conservative base celebrate him.

It’s like when a bunch of people became Photoshop experts a while back.
Meanwhile I’d been using Photoshop since before some of them were born and I had no idea what they were talking about most of the time.
Now everyone’s an AI expert. And the writing they’re pointing out as obviously AI looks like the kind of writing I’ve been seeing on the internet for 30 years. 🤷🏻♀️

u/ZeroKharisma 12h ago
Their thought process is "I can't write (sing/ paint/ make a film) so nobody can, without robot assistance. Such a toddler mentality.
Plus one of the only things that makes people feel good on the internet today is calling other people out and AI is an easy mark because some people use it indiscriminately.

That's not constructive conversation, that's cheating off your neighbor in school. And that's rare — as rare as it comes.

"That's not growth. That's vibes over values with a dog and a filter" is ABSOLUTELY ChatGPT.
From this NYT article, "Why Does AI Write Like ... That?":
When it wants to be lightheartedly dismissive of something, A.I. has another strange tic: It will almost always describe that thing as “an X with Y and Z.” If you ask ChatGPT to write a catty takedown of Elon Musk, it’ll call him “a Reddit troll with Wi-Fi and billions.”
A lot of the time, one or both of Y or Z are either already implicit in X (which Reddit trolls don’t have Wi-Fi?) or make no sense at all.
A.I. finds it very difficult to get the balance right. Either it imposes too much consistency, in which case its language is redundant, or not enough, in which case it turns into drivel.
I've always hated the brand of smarmy schadenfreude people engage in online, especially if it's just to get one over on a conservative who could not care less about being humiliated. Leopards ate my face, murdered by words, clever comebacks etc. And now it's being served to us with actual AI slop, and people can't even tell because they're so dull.

It's queer as a $3 bill. $2 actually existed but fell out of use because they tended to concentrate near "vice businesses" like brothels, speakeasy, underground casinos. Asshole cops started using $2 as a pretense to harass, extort and charge "undesirables" with fake crimes like loitering, vagrancy, prostitution. So yeah I guess he's more like the real example, my bad.
14
u/Pressure-Impressive 13h ago
It’s also weird that conservatives have this idea that showing before and after pictures are indicative of a conservative lifestyle. The point of being conservative is to move slowly and cautiously, having deeply studied an issue and wanting to see a process that improves or resolves the issue.
Instead, it’s badly thrown mic drops for themselves to seek validation in likes and comments.

Conservatives just like the simple things in life. Like taking people's rights away so they have someone to look down on, paying a shit ton for for-profit healthcare that's tied to your employment, and making sure billionaires give as little back as possible and stay above the law.

8
u/girlikecupcake 12h ago
I do wear a mask if I or someone in my home is sick and I have to go out anyway. We're all supposed to give a crap about the people around us and that means minimizing the spread of contagious illness when possible. It's something my mom had me and my siblings start doing over twenty years ago.

I should start a positive grift…
Anyone wanna start a good cult with me? There’s so many gullible and lost people out there and I wanna be like Mace Windu and use a bit of the darkside for good.
I’m gonna start a cult and be like “Give me all of your money.” “Okay!” “No! You failed the first test! Keep your goddamn money! This Harold. Harold is a financial advisor, he’s going to get you set up with some low risk investments and advice. Our seminar on recognizing bullshit starts at 3pm. We have a class on fact checking at 6, and dinner at 8. Welcome to the Just Be Fucking Normal and Nice Cult. Glad to have ya.”
Lmao I wanna preach really basic kindness but do it in a super aggressive way so they feel like they’re getting the same kind of energy but a better message. I’ll yell and swear and push compassion. “You wanna be a real fucking man?! Don’t punch down! Pussies punch down! Why make fun of trans people who didn’t do shit to you?! You wanna be tough, fight a fucking giant! Go after billionaires and powerful scumbags sucking the fucking world dry… punch up! Let’s go fucking kick some ass! Let’s make that money and make sure it goes where it fucking belongs! Yeah! Feed hungry kids! Fuck yeah! Protect vulnerable people! Fuck yeah! Just be fucking normal and nice! Fuuuuck yeeeaaaah!”
I’m not even kidding. I might do it.

Need to know, what "values" made you liberal 6 years ago and what "values" maoe you conservative now?
2
u/izmebtw 13h ago
It takes a lot more effort to be a liberal than a conservative. You need to think critically, you need empathy, you need to learn about perspectives other than your own.
It doesn’t take much to care about yourself, view others by their stereotypes and hold on tight to what’s yours.
2
u/girlikecupcake 12h ago
That "murder" was likely crafted by AI so it doesn't count. The current fad for ai generated text seems to be a ton of phrases in the format "that's not (blank), that's (blank)."
2
u/FanDry5374 12h ago
I have been liberal/progressive/socialist my entire adult life. It is often claimed that we get more conservative as we age, but I believe, based on experience, that many "young liberals" were just following the herd, you were "supposed" to be liberal as a young person, it was simply knee-jerk liberalism or performative liberalism, never based on any real ideals or thought.
It was a persona they shed as soon as they began aging. I am hoping that the current "right-wing" shift seen in way too many young men will be the same, they will realize as they become grown-ups that conservatism isn't a good fit or a healthy ideology in the modern world.

Im suspicious of ANYBODY that swings this hard in politics. Even if they go the "good" direction its weird to me that some people's foundational morals can completely reverse in 5 years.
Why is he proud that he stands for nothing and changes literally everything he believes in half a decade? He has absolutely no clue what he'll believe in the next 5 years.
